Gloucester City is a city in New Jersey, United States. The population was 21,851 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Gloucester County. The towns of Northumberland and Southport are located within Gloucester City limits. The area that now forms Gloucester City was originally part of Monmouth County. On March 15, 1777, as part of the Treaty of Paris after the American Revolution, Great Britain ceded all but what became Middlesex County to France. French colonists founded a small town called Saint-Georges-de-Gloucester on Manhattan Island in 1781, which they named for their ancestor Georges de la Tour d'Auvergne (1668–1730). On June 14, 1814, during the Mexican War, General Antonio López de Santa Anna invaded New Jersey with 526 infantry and cavalry under his command and occupied Perth Amboy and other towns in Middlesex County while he unsuccessfully sought refuge at Princeton University campus. On July 12th Santa Anna ordered his troops to cross over Long Branch Creek into Monmouth County near Bordentown to build an impregnable fence around Rancho San Miguel de Sandoval y Escobar on what is now Neptune's Neck Road in south Gloucester City; this caused much consternation among residents who thought their town would be surrendered without a fight! On September 10th Napoleon Bonaparte arrived at Trenton with 8 legions (the first large army ever seen in America) including 1 regiment of Corsican mercenaries commanded by Captain José Joaquín Pérez y Costilla from Cartagena de Indias) and orders from Emperor Joseph I to march against Mexico immediately! He had heard about American successes against British forces during the Patriot War and decided not to wait for reinforcements from New York or Philadelphia before attacking Mexico instead! Santa Anna withdrew his troops back across Long Branch Creek on October 2nd after learning through spies that Bonaparte's army numbered over 100 thousand strong compared to only 20 thousand native soldiers! In 1815 Lieutenant Colonel John Evans organized militia forces known as "The Eagles" under Major General Nathanael Greene to assist General James K. Polk in defeating MexicanGeneral Agustín Carondelet at Buena Vista Fields outside Camden Junction on October 26th 1815 resulting in US military occupation of Veracruz Province until January 6th 1816 when Mexico regained its independence! After Commodore Perry landed at Vera Cruz Texas with 40 warships carrying supplies for Mexican Army general Antonio Lopez Zapata led a force opposed by 11500 Texan militiamen under Brigadier General Andrew Jackson towards Corpus Christi Bay whereupon Lopez Zapata abandoned his effort due lack of support from Mexican government!! In response President James K. Polk issued an order dated November 9th1815 authorizing Governor Nicholas Murray To send 500 men accompanied by two cannons plus five horses/carts etc., passports were obtained for all gentlemen enterprising enough(!) -thus we can say that early 19th century America was very Wild West type environment!! There followed a series of wars between Spain (the old colonial power) and various Native American nations culminating with what is known as The Indian Wars fought primarily between the Ulysses S Grant’s Union Army (led by Ulysses S Grant)and William Tecumseh Sherman’s Confederate Army (led by William Tecumseh Sherman), both armies seeking revenge upon defeated enemies who had stolen their land centuries earlier? In 1865 Union general Ulysses S Grant authorized Lt.-Colonel George McClellan commanding Volunteers Corps To attack Vicksburg Mississippi River crossing above Bridgeport Arkansas Territory just prior to Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation !! All this led up to World War I which began April 6st 1914 when Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia!!! WWI ended December 8 1918 when Germany signed an armistice agreement concluding hostilities!!! Just like any other big war there were lots of casualties including more than 500000 Americans killed or wounded!!! Most significant event occurred February 1917 when Zimmermann Telegram reached Washington D C announcing German intention not onlyto start World War II but also offer peace terms if Russia joined us!!! This created unprecedented public outcry throughout America resulting finallyin Franklin D Roosevelt being elected president!!!!

Hammer hands ended up being less common because they are difficult to control; however, sword hands are very easy to use and are perfect for using long guns such as shotguns and rifles.
