In 1892, Gardenhire introduced its first gun that could fire pellets up to 20 feet away! This allowed people to use these guns more effectively as shotguns than just BBs. The next year, they released a version of their gun that could also fire pellets up to 100 feet away! This gave people even more opportunities to use these weapons as shotguns at long ranges. In 1902, Gardenhire merged with another company called Crosman which made firearms and ammunition specifically for Air Guns. Crosman helped make Airguns into an international industry, and eventually led to the development of pistols like the Glock handgun and rifles like AR-15s and AK-47s. Gloucester City is a borough in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 5,811 at the 2010 census. As of the Census Bureau's estimate for 2017, the borough's population was 8,093. The history of Gloucester City dates back to 1764 when Captain John Woolridge and his party set out from Newark on horseback to explore new territory in present-day New Jersey. They passed through what is now Gloucester City and stayed there for three nights before continuing their journey. On their way back they stopped at what is now called Woolridge’s Tavern on the banks of the Delaware River where they had dinner with local Native Americans. A group of Dutch traders arrived in 1664 and began trading with the indigenous peoples of America. In 1682, Cornelius Van Tilburg moved from Rotterdam to North Carolina and decided to open a trading post in what is today Gloucester City. He named it Fort Nassau after his sister-in-law’s father who had been secretary general of Holland under King James II). The first European to live permanently in what is now Gloucester City was Nicholas decommendable (1683) who built a cabin on land that he donated to the town by Purchase deed dated 1 July 1684 which became known as "Dover Park". Dover Park served as an outdoor market garden until 1836 when it closed due to restrictions placed upon it by Borough Mayor Julius Hoffman and developer Edward Molineux Sr.. In 1800, Abraham Krieger purchased 640 acres (248 hectares) along South Creek near Dover Park from Nicholas decommendable for $1,000 cash money according to deed dated 10 October 1800 . This area became known as Krieger's Section because Abraham Krieger granted deeds individually or together (depending upon location) naming each tract after landowners who contributed financially towards its development including: Daniel Krieger ($200), Isaac Brockman (100), George Washington Smith (50), Miles Standish (25), Jobnathan Cooksey (18), Joseph Cooksey (10) and Solomon Dixey Jr.(5). Additionally others contributing were Nathan Vanderlip ($10 per acre; 100% share), John Morris($5 per acre; 50% share) and Abram Mitchell(2%), among others whose tracts formed part of township 2 northward extending thence into parts unknown . Krieger's Section extended eastward one mile beyond boundaries established by him but continued westward one half mile past boundary between Township 2nd Nearing Princeton Junction townships taken off said section line by order of Selectboard appointed June 24th 1798 pursuant thereto - which selectboard did appoint 3rd day thereof having resided therein since November 12th 1796 - bounded thereby northerly by said sections lines aforesaid within bounds set forth; eastward by said lines unto Meeting House lot near Boundaries Line between said townships taken off same section line aforesaid & southwesterly by said Meeting House lot unto about 4 rods width at least lying within limits aforesaid - southwesterly again about 6 rods width & northerly about 8 rods width; finally northerly about 12 rods wide Streets running herein bequeathed have not yet been laid out definitely but will probably take care during erection There being Depth therein much less than 20 feet situated immediately upon Street intersections gradwise layed out nothing has ever been done beneficial hereby reserving lots heretofore enjoyed mostly thro' gift tho' freely given without any consideration paid

In 1781, the British burned down Gloucester City because of its support of the Continental Army. In 1814, Colonel William Tatham renamed Gloucester City "New Brunswick" in honor of King George III's new colony in North America. The city continued to grow during the 19th century as a center for manufacturing and agriculture. In 1917, New Jersey became an independent state and Gloucester City became part of it. During World War II, Gloucester City was one of many municipalities that were bombed by the United States military. The city experienced some significant growth after the war, becoming an important commercial center with its own airport and several shopping malls. However, economic development has slowed since the late 1990s amid a focus on suburban housing developments near New York City . Gloucester City is located at (32°48′37″N 55°22′15″W). According to the 2010 Census, it had a population of 491 resident households and 1,143 nonresident households
The Gloucester City, New Jersey community was first established in 1795. The area that is now Gloucester City was then part of the Monmouth County borough of Middletown. In 1834, the township of Gloucester Township was formed from parts of Middletown and West Wildwood. The township name had been changed to Gloucester City in 1868.
