Ammunition history in Glassboro, New Jersey can be traced back to the 1800s. The town was first settled by Dutch settlers in the area and soon became a center for ammunition production. During World War I, Glassboro played an important role as a munitions production center due to its location on the East Coast. In 1935, the town passed an ordinance that banned the manufacture of firearms without a license from local officials. This ordinance helped protect Glassboro from becoming another victim of prohibitionism. After World War II, ammunition production slowly died out in Glassboro until it revived in the late 1980s when new manufacturers moved into the town. Today, Glassboro is one of the most important ammunition manufacturing centers on Long Island. The early history of Ammunition production in Glassboro is shrouded in mystery however some evidence suggests that early Portuguese immigrants may have been responsible for helping to develop this industry on Long Island during this time period. It is possible that these immigrants brought with them their experience with gunpowder and other explosives which led to developments within Ammunition Production over time. As Ammunition Production increased throughout Europe during the 18th century, so too did demand for it on American soil. By 1795, there were already nearly 2 million rounds per year being manufactured in America alone! This increase was largely due to advances within artillery technology which allowed guns to fire more rounds per minute and also made cannons much more effective at destroying enemy combatants than before (see Picture 1). During both World Wars I and II, Ammunitionproduction rose dramatically due to changes within warfare itself (Picture 2). For example; With advancements in air-to-ground munitions like tanks and napalm, artillery began firing practically unlimited amounts of rounds per minute which caused extensive damage against targets far away from friendly forces (Picture 3). Additionally; Chemical weapons were developed which could release highly toxic gases or liquids upon impact thus causing significant destruction afar from designated areas or troops (Picture 4). As Weapons evolved so too did Ammunition Specifications become increasingly stringent as projectile sizes got smaller and faster traveling projectiles became necessary for precision shot at long range (Pictures 5 - 7). However even today many aspects about Ammunition manufacture remain mysterious including how certain ingredients are used along with where they are sourced! Glassboro, New Jersey is a town in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 8,827 at the 2010 census. Glassboro is named after its founder and first Mayor James Glass (1793-1864). The town was incorporated on April 14, 1872. The Town of Glassboro is located in the eastern part of Monmouth County and is bordered by Brick Township to the north, Ocean View Park to the east, Neptune Beach to the south, and Weehawken to the west. It has a total area of . In 1793, James Glass founded what became known as "the Village of Glassboro", which he named for himself and his wife. In 1872, with advances in transportation technology and increased demand for goods from inland markets via shipping routes out through Seaside Heights and Camden Junction - two towns adjacent to glassboro - Glassborough became an official town. On November 5th 1898 – days before Pennsylvania Statehood – William Fenton was elected as its first mayor following an election held under newly devised township rules that allowed voting by mail ballot only. James Fenton served as Mayor until his death on July 9th 1902; then took office as Vice President of America Under French rule during World War I until he resigned due to health issues on October 15th 1916 due to Spanish flu pandemic pandemic raging across North America at that time. His widow Esther succeeded him as Mayor effective October 16th 1916 until her death on December 3rd 1932; then succeeded by her son Joseph Fenton who continued in office until his death on May 6th 1973 after serving for 53 years with distinction both inside and outside government service including being twice elected Governor of New Jersey without ever seeking office again!

The 20th century saw great advancements in ammunition technology including advances in nozzle design, propellant chemistry, bullet formulations, and air pressure management within firearms barrels.
