Garfield, New Jersey is the home of the world's first astronomical observatory, built in 1877 by Dr. George Washington Morgan. The observatory was designed to serve as a national center for astronomy and astrophysics research, and it remains an important scientific facility today. In addition to its role as an important source of astronomical information, Garfield also hosts several annual events related to science and technology. These include the Garfield Science Festival in late October and early November, which attracts international scientists and experts; the Garfieldskite Balloon Race in late February or early March; and the Edison-Garfield International Exhibition of Technology in September or October.

It gives you magnification ( enlargement) so that you can see more details at once than with other sighting devices. Tilt-shift sights allow for different degrees of magnification by rotating the scope's Objective Lens from side-to-side or up and down. This allows you to get close enough to your target so that it is visible without having it located in front of the scope; however, this type of sight also has some disadvantages such as reduced rangefinding ability and increased focus requirements when hunting game over long distances. Variable power spotters provide different magnification levels based on their current settings which can be changed using a knob on top of the sighting device. These devices let hunter select between various magnifications depending upon their shooting situation while still being able to view the target at all times through the spotting scope's manual aperture window

Garfield is a borough in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 7,872 at the 2000 census. As of the 2010 Census, the borough's population was 8,036. Garfield is located on the southern edge of Newark, just east of Elizabethtown and west of Paramus Park. The first European settlers were Dutchmen who arrived in 1664 and named their community "Garland". A group of English colonists from New York City founded what became Newark in 1716 and named it after their friend Sir George Garland (1592-1662), 4th Baronet. The first American settlement in what would become Middlesex County took place in 1732 when John Jay and his band of soldiers erected a blockhouse on Long Island Sound to service the British troops stationed there during the Partition of America. In 1807, developers David Livingstone and James Logan purchased land south of Newark Township for $5 per acre (0.77 km²). They renamed their new township Randolph Township which they divided into two sections – Livingston Heights to the north and South Randolph to the south – with Garfield as its centerpiece. On November 15, 1814, four days after President James K. Polk had been elected president by a landslide win over Democrat Martin Van Buren, Garfield was incorporated as a borough by an act passed by Congress under then- Speaker Andrew Johnson. On May 24th following incorporation Garfield voted to secede from New Jersey due to rising taxes levied against them by state lawmakers associated with Governor Woodrow Wilson’s “New Nationalism” agenda that favored increased levels federal spending rather than tax relief for citizens within states boundaries existing before 1913–the so-called “Old Nationalist” era within American political life where state legislatures controlled taxation rates while at least one house out of five (in Pennsylvania) met annually in Philadelphia for debates leading up to passage or rejection of legislation popularly known as “the joint resolution” that providedForbes Taxation Plan Number One Hundred And Ninety Nine″ which led directly to World War I Garfield residents had hoped not only that secession would be successful but also result in annexation into neighboring municipalities such as Elizabethtown/Paramus Park/Lancaster which all planned merger plans were thwarted either through lack of approvals or opposition from other municipalities who felt they would have benefited more from an amalgamation given their proximity to larger cities like Newark NJSU formed its own governing body called Borough Presidents Committee with representatives from each municipality meeting monthly plus 1 representative from SU Athletics Department Following discussion among Borough Presidents Committee members about how best to handle secession efforts some members decided not pursue further action but provide leadership forum for future discussions .While Borough Presidents Committee meetings did take place some locally elected officials continued trying unsuccessfully to get annexation votes even though this caused public frustration among manyResidents eventually gave up on attempts at annexing themselves following Democratic Party takeover both local offices switched hands multiple times during 1919 thru 1923 periods making it difficult if not impossible for any effort at consolidation

They used a simple eyepiece with an adjustable magnification to allow users to view objects at a close range. This type of scope was later replaced by a more sophisticated design, the “telescope”, which allowed for increased magnification and better resolution. Garfield is a borough in Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 1,868 at the 2010 census. Garfield is considered to be part of the Camden–Atlantic City metropolitan area. Garfield was founded on November 3, 1814 by Nicholas Garvey and his brother John Garvey. The first post office was established in Garfield on December 2, 1815. It was named for General John Fenton Garfield who had fought in the American Revolution and died in battle at Bunker Hill on April 19, 1775. The township of Garfield initially consisted of only a few hundred acres (0.8 km²). By 1840 it had grown to encompass over 6 square miles (19 km²). By 1860 its population had increased to 10,000 residents and by 1870 it included 14 wards with a total population of 30,524 residents. In 1881 the Township became Borough status and remained so until 1974 when it reverted back to Township form following the withdrawal of all but one ward from Atlantic County government under then-Governor Christie’s Executive Order #528 which eliminated municipal representation among larger counties within New Jersey Department of Community Affairs for administrative purposes prior to the state’s consolidation into 16 municipalities pursuant to State Statute §2(a)). In 1934 Borough President James J. Costello filed an application with the New Jersey Board of Chosen Freeholders for city charter due to increasing enrollment rates in nearby Camden as well as opportunities for business development within what would become Garfield through annexation by Camden after that city’s transformation from an open-air market town into an enclosed shopping center during Prohibition years (see also: History of Camden City Streetscape]). On October 20th Council passed a resolution recommending against granting charters citing concerns about future boundaries between Camden and Garfield should both cities grow rapidly while their respective populations remained small; however on November 11th Council granted charter requests from both cities via unanimous votes with Mayor Costello presiding over both meetings because he lived outside city limits at that time). As part of this process former Borough President William Pugh abstained from voting as he felt that his borough would have no say in how their new home would be decided given they were not consulted about any decision makingrelated thereto). It should be noted that neither costello nor Pugh held political office after leaving office; instead they formed another non-profit organization called “The James J. Costello Foundation” which continues today as a charitable foundation focused on education & community outreach programs across Bucks County PA
