In 1992, General Electric Company donated funds towards development of a next-generation GUNLASTER gun laser system known as GEOSYSTEM IIB which featured four LED arrays arranged in a hexagonal pattern over an extended diameter barrel chamfer on top of which sat an eye lens for assuring accuracy when firing into deep water dugouts or tunnels beneath enemy positions). This new GEOSYSTEM IIB was designed specifically for use against ground targets such as tanks and artillery pieces buried underground.
