In 1861, Patent No. 3,075,823 was issued to George Armstrong Cockerill for what is now known as “Cockerill”s Railgun Sighting Device – or CRM for short. In 1875, another patent was awarded to Samuel Colt for his “ revolving target plate” – also known as Colt’s Target Plate or CTR for short. This target plate allowed shooters to shoot multiple targets at once by rotating them around an axis within their shooting chamber while they fired off rounds from their weapon! This invention revolutionized target shooting by allowing anyone with access to a firing platform (such as an attic) or even tabletop could participate in NRA sanctioned events! By 1890 there were over 100 different types of Iron Sights available on the market! Somesighters still refer to these older devices simply as gunsights because they have been replaced by modern technologies over time but those behind them have left their mark on American firearms history!

Florham Park is a town in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 10,838 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Newark–Jersey City Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first European settlers arrived in 1714 and founded what would become Florham Park as a township. In 1834, Florham Park became an independent village, and then a borough in 1900. Borough status was revoked in 1972 and Florham Park reverted to its township form. The current name comes from the fact that trees on the original site of Town Hall were given new growth by Mrs. James Flournoy of Flournoy Nursery fame who donated them to the town upon her death in 1912. Florham Park has been inhabited by Europeans for over two hundred years and today it remains one of America's most ethnically diverse towns with many different cultures represented including Italian, Jewish, Polish, Irish, Dutch and German residents as well as people of African descent (mostly slaves). In addition to its rich cultural history there are also some interesting features unique to Florham Park which include its wide variety of housing types from single family homes to condominiums and apartments; its mix of pre-war architecture from Craftsman bungalows through Tudor style mansions; as well as its significant number of professional athletes - both American football players (the first professional football team played here) and ice hockey players (the first team here played in “Hockey Night In America”). Today Florham Park is home to several large businesses such as Hess Corporation (a major food processor), Prudential Financial Group Insurance Services Company (), Dun & Bradstreet Inc., PNC Bank (), Microsoft Corporation (), IBM () - all located within walking distance of one another or just minutes away by car with plenty of parking available onsite. Florham Park, New Jersey is a small town in Bergen County, New Jersey. The population was 12,471 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Hackensack–Jersey City metropolitan area. The first known permanent European settlement in what is now Florham Park was made by Dutch colonists in 1624 on a tract of land that had been gifted to them by Sir Walter Raleigh. At the time, it was part of Perth Amboy Township and lay within what is now Union County. In 1764, when Jacob Riis discovered and mapped much of what is now Bergen County, he named one of his tracts "Florham Park" after the estate of William Drummond-Smith (1711-1775), 1st Viscount Queensberry and 1st Baron Fortescue which he had recently purchased from the last British governor of North America. Florham Park later became an incorporated township on March 14, 1814. On November 11, 1777, George Washington received news that General Monmouth's force had invaded Canada and captured Trenton without any resistance from the local residents or militia forces led by Colonel John Glover. Washington ordered Major General Nicholas Myer to march to Trenton with 5 companies of Native American warriors to free those captives before they were marched into captivity back home in Virginia where they would be used as slaves for many years afterwards. In 1892 Florham Park voters defeated a measure proposed by Mayor John Pasternak seeking incorporation into Passaic County as a village instead; this event marked only the second time in Borough history that such a measure had been successful against an ordinance placed by Borough Councilmember James Whelan – who represented Passaic County at that time – following an unsuccessful attempt two years earlier at incorporation into Essex County through referendum vote issue #1 (see also Essex/FlorHAMPARKVillage Incorporation). In 1915 Florham Park became part of Bergen Township once again following legislative approval via Act No 178 (27 Statutes at Large 1861) which authorizes township reorganization upon application having been filed with township officials “in pursuance” thereof duly executed under oath or affirmation thereto setting forth: That there has arisen since its organization said township more than requisite activity for its proper government; that good roads cannot alone be relied upon to effectually carry all traffic between it and points remote; that public buildings are required therein; and finally that said act being properly enforced will conduce to general welfare The original boundaries for present day Florham Park were based on section 3 Buskirk's Map dated 1798 but this map has not been located nor does it appear ever have been reprinted or cited anywhere else aside from here specifically so as not to conflict with any other source mentionings this area today - see map attached below... It should be noted here specifically that despite certain assertions made hereinabout specific areas currently residing within or adjacent unto FloramPark borders - nothing could be further from truth as those aforementioned locations have long since relocated away from FlorHAMPARK altogether - most notably including but not limited to: piecewise current developments currently composed entirely & contiguous unto Hauppauge Avenue / Copley Plaza Drive Extension presently situated just southsoutheast corner aforesaid Hauppauge/Copley Avenues extension & immediately eastwardly adjoining parcels comprising portions now comprising upper portion & southern border limitEXTENSION OF FOLKMOUNTAIN PARK extending northwardly along Appian Way pastSHACKENESSANDSHEETTERSHEETS intersection thence northeasterly along APPIAN WAY pastHICKSACK Road existing prior thereto constitute today's included portions thereof formerLYNCHESTER Road existing prior thereto form today's eastern border limits unincorporated territory forming today's northwestern boundary limit THOUSAND PALMS AVENUE existing prior thereto form today'S northeastern boundary limit Located just southsoutheastern corner aforesaid Hauppauge/Copley Avenues extension & immediately eastwardly adjoining parcels comprising portions now comprising upper portion & southern borderlimit
Florham Park, New Jersey was founded on November 3, 1764 by George Washington and his military commander, Colonel Nicholas Schenck. The town was named for the Floridas, a group of islands in the Gulf of Mexico. It became an important supply center for the Revolutionary War because it had access to both the highlands and the lower mainland. The town also prospered as a cattle and wool market. In 1814, Florham Park attained borough status. In 1834, it annexed neighboring East Orange. On December 1st of that year, Florham Park became a city with its own government and mayoralty.
