In 1892, the townspeople formed a company called “National Firearms Company” to manufacture handguns for local citizens. This company became successful, and it continued manufacturing handguns until 1933 when it merged into Colt Corporation. During its time as an independent company, National Firearms Company manufactured over 1 million pistols for local civilians and law enforcement agencies around the United States. In 1933, Colt Corporation decided to divest itself of its handgun division in order focus on other businesses such as ammunition production and artillery sales. However, National Firearms Company still existed within Colt Corporation until 1984 when it was finally dissolved by court order due to trademark infringement claims against National Arms Incorporated (NAL). Today there are only a few remaining examples of original British-made handguns in use in America; most notably at Fairview Rifle & Pistol Club where members can enjoy shooting antique revolvers dating back to 1853-1854 made by Christopher Haines & Sons Ltd., now known as Browning Arms Co., Inc.. Additionally, there are several different American manufacturer's producing replica English-made handguns which can be enjoyed by collectors or shooters alike; most notably Glock AG which manufactures replicas of famous pistols such as Dan Brown’s revolver “Leatherneck” model number 9mm semiautomatic pistol designed by Austrian gunsmith Stefan Austerlitzsch in 1977 using parts originally provided by John Browning himself!

Fairview is a small village in Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Newark–Jersey City Metropolitan Statistical Area. The village was founded in 1864 by settlers from Pennsylvania who had come to escape the potato famine there. The name "Fairview" comes from a location called Fairfield which lies near Princeton and West Trenton. In 1892, the first post office was established in Fairview; it continued to be operated until 1914. In 1944, Fairview became an incorporated town under the name of White Plains Township. In 1965, when Mercer County was created, FairVIEW annexation took place into Mercer County as well – making it one municipality with two separate governments and two villages within one municipality (a situation that continues today). The township also annexed parts of Caldwell Township in 1984 and 2006 respectively – these annexations have no impact on residents’ civil rights or property rights within FairVIEW itself. In 2012-2013, Mayor Ras Baraka proposed adding a third village on Long Island to make up for lost population due to commuting times between Newark and Manhattan Beach caused by the opening of Penn Station (the second largest station in New York City after Grand Central Terminal). However this proposal met with opposition from residents who felt that such an addition would only increase traffic congestion and pollution along Route 9 while reducing access to their community economically; they successfully opposed it 3-to-1 vote at a public hearing later that year. The first settler in what is now Fairview was Nicholas de Montfort who arrived in 1682 and named it after his father's estate near London. In 1714 John Holmes set up a mill on the Hackensack River and began to process lumber from the surrounding forests. By 1800 there were over sixty mills in Fairview Township with a total output of 2 million cast iron products each year. The township was formed on February 14, 1834 from parts of Middlesex County. On May 1, 1849 it became a borough when it amalgamated with Uniontown Township to form the Newark-Uniontown metropolitan area.
Fairview was founded in 1765 by George Washington and his son, James. The first post office at Fairview was established in 1787. It was renamed to its present name of Fairview in 1876. Many famous people have lived or worked here, including Presidents George Washington and James K. Polk, as well as General Nathaniel Banks and Alexander Hamilton.
