Gunlights were originally designed to supplement search and rescue efforts. The first such light was a small flashlight, invented by Capt. John L. Sweeny in 1894 while serving with the U.S. Coast Guard. A year later, he created a design for what is now known as the “siren light” which became popular among law enforcement agencies and First responders during the 1990s when cellular phone technology made tracking down criminals much more difficult. In 2007, Fair Lawn began importing an American-made version of their old siren light, which they christened the “Lantern Light” after its original designer Capt. John Lanning of the UPNV (Upper Peninsula Natives Volunteer) Patrol Unit in Northampton County,Pa., who donated his old unit to Fair Lawn in 2006 after 10 years service with the department). The Lantern Light has been a vital part of Fair Lawn police department since it was introduced and is still used today on special occasions or during emergency situations where other forms of illumination are not possible or impractical such as at night or during inclement weather conditions

Fair Lawn, New Jersey is a township in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 Census, the population was 21,521. The name "Fair Lawn" was derived from the Manor of Fair Lawn which was granted to James I by Sir John Moore in 1624. The first settler in what is now Fair Lawn was Jonathan Belcher who arrived on November 12, 1714. He and his family were among the earliest European settlers in what is now Middlesex County. When Patent No. 827 for Newark and Bergen Township was issued on February 1, 1739 (the date which would have been Stonington's centennial), Belcher and his family are listed as being residents of Newark but they may have also moved to Fair Lawn because that is where their farm lay. In 1768-69 members of Parliament passed an act providing for grants of land to be made available for settlement in Middlesex County by those who had paid taxes there during previous years; this Act became known as the Second Purchase Act. After several years of unsuccessful efforts to procure land here as part of this program, including sending Request For Information (RFIs) through various channels to interested parties throughout New Jersey and Connecticut, George Washington finally secured a grant from King George III on October 15th, 1772 for a total area comprising present day sections 4-7 & 9-11 of Maplewood Township (now part of South Brunswick). The land included about covering all that now makes up Fair Lawn Township except portions east & west of Route 11A and north & south of Elmira Road/Route 202B. In 1801 Nicholas French founded a tavern at 149 Main Street called "The French House". It continued operation until destroyed by fire in 1892. The building that remain today at 147 Main Street served as one endowment for The Rutgers University School Of Business Administration from 1916 until its closure in 1998 after serving as its main campus office until then; it has since been used as an apartment building housing students attending Rutgers University undergraduate business programs since 1978 or 1979 when it reopened under new ownership after sitting vacant for many years while undergoing renovation/upgrading.. In 1847 he built a brick house at 222 Walnut Avenue which still stands today - originally meant to be used as his own home but later become the home headquarters for local politics with offices located upstairs overlooking Walnut Avenue where he held receptions open to raise money for local candidates during elections season - also hosting functions such as dances and balls etc., becoming well known within local society both before & after he left office.. On July 4th 1892 developer Joseph Haggerty laid out lot #4 upon which Fair Lawn rose from farmland given him along with other developers working on adjoining lots between Center Boulevard/Route 202 (& Cedar Hill Road) eastward into what is now West Orange Cemetery towards Camden Terminal Railway Station thence onward into parts now lying within Cherry Hill Borough limits prior to its annexation by South Brunswick Township giving rise thereto theretofore theretofore unmentioned areas bounded thereby: these are described more particularly hereinbelow: lot #4 lay northeast thereof immediately adjoining Wigglesworth's Mills mill Race Course having an earthen floor cover over said mills foundation: width thereof 3 rods 6 inches; depth 2 rods 5 inches: lots #1-3 borders Newtown Creek opposite Lots #4&5 aforesaid; lot #9 borders Princeton River opposite Lots 10&11 aforesaid.: boundaries set forth hereinbelow were drawn lines running northwest *EAST* along center line between Cedar Hill Rd./Route 202B & Walnut Ave./222 Walnut Ave.; SOUTHWEST* along center line between State Rte 501 (/Southold Rd.) N.*WEST* along center line between Cedar Hill Rd./Route 202B N.*EAST*along Center Blvd./Route 202 (& Walnut Ave.) W.: PRINCETON RIVER NEAR LOTS 10&11 ABOVE
There is no one answer to this question as the history of gun lights goes back many years. At its inception, there were many different types of lightbulbs used to illuminate firearms. Some of these bulbs were invented by men such as Nicholas-Jacques Conte and George Stephenson, while others were created by women such as Annie Oakley and Clara Barton. One particular type of bulb that was used extensively during the 1800s was the muzzleloader light. Muzzleloaderlights resembled those found on hunting rifles in that they consisted of a small, handheld bulb that resided at the front end of a long tube. These lights were often used in conjunction with a rifle scope to help shooters better see their target while firing. Gun lights also became popular among military personnel during the late 1800s and early1900s. This was due in part to their ability to provide elevated lighting for targets located high above ground level. Additionally, gun lights could be used as signaling devices when engaged in combat or hunting activity.

Fair Lawn is a borough in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 census, the borough had a population of 25,383. The name "Fair Lawn" was given to the community by Captain John Smith in 1777 after his explorations through what is now Middlesex County during his voyage of discovery. The first white settlers arrived in Fair Lawn in 1778, and by 1800 it had three stores and one school. In 1814, a post office was established at Fair Lawn and remained in operation until 1896. The first synagogue opened in Fair Lawn on October 4, 1881. The Borough became part of the Township of Princeton on February 14th 1900. On April 15th 1951, the Township merged with East Brunswick Township to form North Jersey City Township (with an initial population of 508). In 1976-1977 two referendums were held to change the name from "Fair Lawn" to "Radnor". However both lots being offered for sale would have made it difficult for any one person to purchase them all so no change occurred. In 2002-2003 two referendums were held to change the name back from Radnor back to Fair Lawn but both times no changes took place
Fair Lawn was a township in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. It was annexed by Union City on April 15, 1871.
