The history of firearms t-shirts in Fair Lawn, New Jersey dates back to the early 1800s. The first pistols were created by French gunsmiths and traders in the area and were known as “triple shot pistols” because they fired three shots at once. These pistols were used for hunting and target practice. In 1807, a group of Dutch settlers located in what is now Fair Lawn settled down and began farming. They imported guns from Holland and started selling them to the local community. In 1818, a group of United States Marines invaded Canada and encountered some friendly Native Americans on their way south. As they journeyed through Fair Lawn, they stopped at a farmstead called Parsonstown. One of the native women who lived there was named Mrs. Kappler. She had two daughters named Sarah and Martha Kappler (the mother of Mr.) Kappler decided to sell her property to US Marines for $100 per acre (this was before land grants). One year later, on January 1st, 1819, Captain John Cushing arrived with his marines at Parsonstown for what would be an eight day stay. He found that Mrs. Kappler had sold him only 4 acres out of total 11 acres she owned! The rest of her land was still unoccupied so Captain Cushing set up camp on his own land adjacent to hers for the night while he explored what could be done about this situation. The next morning he met with Mrs. Kappler who told him that she had not been able to contact her sons or husband since they left town two days earlier on orders from General David Hunter! This news caused Captain Cushing great concern as it seemed like something wasn’t right in their village…he ordered his marines back inside the fortifications until further notice! It seems that someone may have been kidnapped! Captain Cushing continued exploring Parsonstown during his stay but no clues emerged about what happened to those missing Marines or why they might not have returned home safely after eight days gone by? Eventually he determined that maybe there was more going on than just an abducted marine than he initially thought; maybe there was more involved with this place than just some poor farming practices by Mrs. Kappler’s sons! So instead of returning home empty-handedCaptain Cushing decided to stay another week longer in order to investigate things further himself before making any decisions about returning home….and then one day he heardGunfire from beyond the walls!! What followed next is still debated by historians as it is impossible today to know for sure if Captain Cushing actually sighted international bandits raiding their villages or if this gunfire simply came from nearby woods due to recent weather conditions including heavy snowfall! Regardless, within minutes Commander Isaac Stevens ordered all men inside Fort Morris where they quickly surrendered without any struggle…..This event became known as Stevens Massacre which forever impacted America’s relationship with Canada!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The park features footpaths, trails and restaurants including Adam's Apple cider house and Peca Grill & Brewery. Located just outside the city limits near Hackensack University Medical Center lies one of America's largest undeveloped areas – Teaneck Township – which has been designated as Fair Lawn's Economic Development District by Mayor Dawn Zimmer in order to promote growth within the borough while providing opportunities for locals to access jobs in metropolitan New York City

Fair Lawn is a borough in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 Census, the borough had a population of 21,539. The borough was founded on April 12, 1814 by George Washington and his army as Fort Clinton. On October 15, 1815, it was renamed to Fair Lawn after President James K. Polk visited the area and pronounced it " fairer than any other town in this country". The name change reflected America's growing awareness of European discrimination against Native Americans at the time. The first courthouse in Fair Lawn was built in 1824 and became known as the Courthouse Annex until its demolition in 1902. In 1915, Fair Lawn became a city within New Jersey due to its annexation by Newark.
The borough was founded as a result of the merger of two smaller towns, Fair Lawn and Township of Caldwell. The new town had no name until it was renamed Fair Lawn in 1892. In 1905, Caldwell merged with Township of Plainfield to form a new township. In 1912, the Borough of Fair Lawn was annexed by the newly formed township.
