Several factors contributed to the resurgence of optics manufacturing following World War II: increased demand for military vehicles due to advances in technology that permitted greater range and accuracy with projectiles; postwar reconstruction efforts that created more jobs opportunities in local communities; and the growing awareness among consumers that quality materials were necessary for good enjoyment of objects such as photography or artistry.
