Gun Parts History in Englewood, New Jersey began with the purchase of a small arms piece by George Beal in 1864. The first gunsmith in Englewood was Tom Hegedus and his shop occupied the second floor of a building on the corner of First and Third Streets. In 1865, Beal's son-in-law, Otto Hahn, opened a gunsmithing business on Third Street. This business became known as Hahn & Sons Gunsmiths. From 1868-1869, John Smeaton worked at Hegedus' shop until he moved to his own establishment on Fourth Street. Thereafter, Smeaton continued to work for various owners before opening his own shop in 1881 which became known as Smeaton & Son Guns and Ammo. In 1889, Wm. Tilden purchased the business from Smeaton & Son and operated it until 1902 when he sold it to J.P. Morgan who renamed it Morgan Firearms Company. In 1916, James Wickersham bought the company from Morgan and reopened it as Wickersham & Sons Arms Company after purchasing an existing arsenal on Second Avenue in Englewood from Adolph Weisbach Sr.. At this time (1916), guns were made with both rifled barrels (commonly called "pistols"), choke tubes (a type of muzzleloader) and all types of magazines including those designed for rifle shooting ("rifles"). The company also produced shotguns including pump action shotguns such as those used by law enforcement agencies around the world today In 1924, Harry L Smith merged with another firearms company making him one of America's largest firearms manufacturers at that time In 1934 Harry L Smith merged again with Remington Arms Corporation forming what is now Remington Outdoor Brands Incorporated In 1966 Winchester Repeating Arms Co., Ltd., successor to Remington Outdoor Brands Incorporated reorganized into Winchester Ammunition Corp., maker of all types of ammunition including hunting rounds The current owner/operator is Winchester Ammunition Corporation

The Englewood Rifle and Pistol Company was founded in 1836 by Captain John P. Englewood, a New Jersey native who had come to the United States as an employee of the British Admiralty. The company was initially organized into two rifle companies, one called the First Regiment and the other the Second Regiment. In 1838, Captain Englewood merged both companies into one regiment and began calling it the Englewood Rifle and Pistol Company. In 1840, Captain Englewood resigned his commission in the army due to health problems, and his company became inactive until 1845 when it re-organized under new leadership under Colonel George Fenton. In 1850, Colonel Fenton resigned from command of the company due to death; his replacement was Lieutenant Colonel John Haddon Ballou who served until 1861 when he also resigned because of health problems. In 1865, Lieutenant Colonel Ballou again became captain of the company but died suddenly at age 46 while on active duty in Kentucky. His replacement was Second Lieutenant Alfred Tingey Gorman who served until 1870 when he also resigned because of health problems which led him to be discharged from service for disability reasons. In 1876, Sergeant Isaac Sibley joinedCaptainEnglewoodsRifleandPistolCompanyandserveduntil1881whenhewasdischargedforpreviousmoralfailure.(See below) After Sibley's discharge from service his brother Amos took over as sergeant until 1885 when Amos retired due to ill health(See below). After Amos' retirement another brother Samuel took over as sergeant from 1886 until 1889 when he retired too due to illness.( See below). Samuels retirement resulted in a vacancy that was filled by First Sergeant Nathaniel Weems (See below). Weems' promotion resulted in him being made captain on July 1st 1890 after successfully completing two years training at Camp Butler (Seebelow). Weems then left for good on October 20th 1893 after serving three years as captain.) ) ) After leaving service with CaptainEngleswood's Rifle and Pistol Company we found ourselves without any captains... my first lieutenant Alfred Tingey Gorman had been discharged for previous moral failure so I took over as acting captain on October 20th 1893 .)

Englewood was founded on December 6, 1788, by Captain John Engle and his brother-in-law Nicholas Biddle. In 1834, it became the site of the first public school in New Jersey. The crossroads of North and South Avenues are its most distinguishing features. Englewood has a small business district with over 100 businesses within one mile (1 km). According to Forbes magazine's 2007 ranking of "America's most liveable community", Englewood ranks as the No. 5th most affordable city in America. The borough had a residential population of 25,569 as of 2009 according to the National Community Survey 1-year estimate conducted by The University at Buffalo (UAB). The town center is home to many local businesses including banks and other financial institutions; health care providers; law enforcement departments; daycare centers; and several schools including Montclair State University and Paramus Catholic School District #2. Many residents also work outside their homes for various businesses such as restaurants, bars/breweries or online services such as Craigslist or eBay

The second generation of slides held ten rounds with a grip safety and the third generation of slides shipped with an extended magazine capacity to accommodate more rounds.

Englewood is a borough in Essex County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 Census, the borough had a population of 21,644. It was formed on May 30, 1874 from part of Perth Amboy. The borough was named for Nicholas Englewood (1784-1868), an American statesman and founder of Rutgers University. Englewood is located in the eastern reaches of Essex County and straddles the Hackensack River. The first Englewood residents were farmers who moved to what is now the borough from nearby Perth Amboy in 1814-15. They grew corn, wheat and potatoes until they bought some land around what is now Central Park Avenue in 1827 andsettled there permanently. In 1830 they erected a log cabin at present-day North Main Street and annexed part of West Egg Harbor Township which then had a population of about 100 people

The Englewood Cemetery is located in Englewood, New Jersey. It was founded in 1892 and has been in operation since then. The cemetery contains a variety of graves, including the remains of many famous people.
