The Englewood Gun Mags were started in 1921 by J.W. “Red” Denning and his partner, Harry Wessels. The company was originally located at 625 Park Ave., but moved to its current location in 1922. Red Denning passed away in 1951, but the company continued operations until it closed its doors in 1958.
Englewood is a town in Essex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 23,063 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Newark–Jersey City Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded on November 3, 1788 by Loyalists from Middlesex County who fled to Englewood after the American Revolution. The name comes from a stream called Englewood Brook which flow through the town. The first settler in what is now Englewood was John Morse and his family who arrived in 1789. In 1802, George Washington spent time at Englewood during his visit to America and it became a popular place for vacationers because of its close proximity to New York City. In 1812, developer Daniel Webster bought land that forms much of what is today Englewood Township and laid out a townsite on it with lots measuring . He named it after himself – Websterstown – and built some homes there before selling most of it off in 1824 to other developers. At that time,Englewood had a population of only about 100 people but by 1830 it had grown to over 1,000 people due largely to waves of Irish immigrants coming through Orange County and settling in rural areas around Newark as well asengel wood itself. One reason why Englewoods growth rate continued unabated during this period was its location: just outside downtown Newark on Broad Street between Church and Market Streets (then called “Broadwalk”), while still within commuting distance for many residents across all sections of the city. With so much potential development going on near downtown Newark throughout these years – chiefly centered around State College Heights (now Rahway) downriver – few developers came knocking on Engleswoods door; instead they focused their efforts nearer and further away from downtown NJostling for attention along with others seeking favoritism from local officials when applying for government grants or loans which were then looking increasingly preferential given burgeoning suburban populations encroaching upon traditional inner-city neighborhoods like Newark proper (see also: Neighborhoods versus Urban Areas). Nevertheless despite this lack of interest early arrivals did continue arriving nonetheless via wagonloads each day until eventually real estate prices started spiraling out OFFROADLY - reaching levels last seen no later than the late 1990s or even earlier prior thereto following various increases/decreases in supply & demand resulting directly & indirectly FROM THE CONTINUOUS SUBURBAN POPULATION INCREASE THAT WAS THEN RESPECTING NEWARK PROPER AS WELL AS THE RELATED DISCUSSION ABOUT HOW TO BEST PRESERVE AND MANAGE OUR COMMUNITIES DUE TO THEIR NUMBER multiplicative impact ON PREMISES& AREAS INCLUDING REGARDLESS OF LOCATION
In the early 1800s, gun magazines were becoming more popular than ever before. Gunsmiths and collectors alike were beginning to build their own collections of firearms, and as a result, they needed to have easy access to information on how to work with them. To meet this demand, some gunsmiths began printing their own magazines in order to provide unique content and easier access for their customers. Some of these magazines even became extremely popular and helped spur the growth of the Firearms industry. One such famous magazine was The Gunfighter (later renamed The Rifleman), which was published by William Belden from 1835-1849. It was one of the most influential publications during its time and helped promote hunting and shooting sports around the world. Not only did it offer readers helpful advice on firearm use, but also castigate any manufacturers or dealers who didn't adhere to the same standards as Belden himself. This gave rise to a sense of community among shooters across different countries, helping increase demand for his products. Eventually, other publishers followed suit and started reprinting The Gunfighter throughout various parts of the world. As a result, it slowly grew into what it is today: one of history's most influential publications when it comes to firearms education and discussion!

Englewood, New Jersey is a borough in Camden County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 14,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Philadelphia–Camden metropolitan area. Englewood was founded on December 12, 1834 by Erie Canal refugees from Buffalo and Niagara Falls. The name means "upper field" in Dutch and "enclave" in French. The first settler in Englewood was Nicholas Biddle who arrived on December 12th, 1834 along with other canal refugees from Buffalo and Niagara Falls. Biddle named his land Kippenfield after his father-in-law (Emanuel Kipper). At that time Englewood consisted of just a few homes and some woodland. By 1840, Englewood had attracted several families who built homes around what is now its central square which became known as "the Park". In 1859 the town's first school opened up when the Township of Camden erected a building on First Street between Hamilton Avenue and Market Street for instruction for students residing within its borders. Over time additional schools were built including one located on Third Street north of present day Cumberland Avenue in 1865; two located east of present day Spring Garden Avenue near Walnut Street in 1888; one located south of Spring Garden Avenue next to Whatcom High School (now part of Ridgewood) in 1903; another located west of present day Cedarhurst Drive near Hackensack Road (now called Mayflower Road) in 1917; one located east off Mount Laurel Boulevard near Scotch Plains Road (now Clinton Drive) in 1933; one situated northwest off Mount Laurel Boulevard adjacent to West Eggertown Cemetery within Borough limits until 1945 when it moved into Borough limits proper; and finally one situated southeast off Mount Laurel Boulevard adjacent to North Kennett Cemetery within Borough limits until its closure by township authorities following Hurricane Agnes on August 15th, 1969." A new high school was opened up soon after this - Haverford College - with enrollment totaling over 900 students by 1972! The community continued to grow as more people came to live hereabouts including many immigrants who had come through Ellis Island during the early days of American immigration: Poles, Lithuanians, Czechs etc... Many businesses began catering specifically to this immigrant population such as grocery stores and clothing boutiques which flourished during these years while others simply grew gradually out there due to demand from residents themselves! Many Englewood residents also served as active citizens or memberships with various organizations such as the Freemasons Lodge #542 later merged into Temple Beth Israel synagogue - an event that took place back during those halcyon days before Philly's gentrification really setTLTIng In full swing! Additionally some notable local politicians have included Judge Joseph McNabb Jr., Mayor John Fenton (Democratic), Congressman Leonard Permanente/John Mecano (Republican), Doctor Abraham Flexner III & his wife Betty Ann Flexner both political appointees under thenMayor William Donald Schaefer- all three men would go onto serve terms exceeding ten years each! With today's technology becoming increasingly prevalent throughout our society & ENGLEWOOD continues being an extremely socio-political & economically diverse community seeing many ethnic Chinese & Latino families move into this largely white inner city area over recent years...one can only imagine how things must have been like back then when they didn't!!!
In 1854, Englewood was chartered as a village by the Township of Englewood. The Village of Englewood was organized on April 6, 1855. On November 3, 1867, it became a town in Middlesex County. On February 14, 1870, it became a city in New Jersey.
