Dumont is a town in Sussex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 5,839 at the 2010 census. Dumont is located on the north shore of Lake New Jersey and is part of the Newark–Jersey City metropolitan area. The first Europeans to arrive in what is now Dumont were Dutch colonists who arrived in 1614. In 1824, English settlers founded a small community called "Dutch Elm" on the eastern edge of present-day Dumont. The name changed to "Dumont" in 1827 when an act of Congress renamed all U.S. states after George Washington and his generals (George Washington had been born in Dumont). In 1881, a group of white farmers from Sussex County decided to create a town on their own land within sight of their homes in what is now Newark Township; they named it after General Lafayette (Lafayette was born near Dovercourt Manor in Essex County). By 1912, there were over 100 residents living in Dumont; by 1915, there were 350 residents and by 1920, 600 residents. After World War II, the population growth slowed as people moved away for jobs or into larger towns or cities throughout New Jersey due to suburbanization and changes in transportation patterns; however, during the 1990s and 2000s a resurgence began with large-scale development around the edges of Newark and Cherry Hill township which have led to increased populations within Dumont itself as well as adjacent municipalities since then. According to the United States Census Bureau , Dumont has a total area of , all of it land. The borough borders East Brunswick Township to the east and west, Paramus Borough to the north (the latter having annexed much of Montclair Township since 1975), Cherry Hill Township to the south ( Purchasing Power Act annexation completed in 2006), Caldwell Borough to its northeast border (originally part of Paramus) and Orange Park Borough too far away for any definitive calculation but considered part thereof according as well because it lies entirely within Monmouth County’s borders – making it one municipality sharing borders with three other counties! According tohistorical censuses from 1911 through 1917*, only Orange Park Borough has grown more populous than its nearest neighbor since those censuses: from 3 people per 1,000 inhabitants during 1911-17*(to 7 people per 1,000 inhabitants today) while both Caldwell Borough (-4 people per 1 million between 1991 & 2006*)and East Brunswick Township (+3 people per 1 million between 1991 & 2006*)have seen little change at all! It should be noted that *these censuses did not ask about residency rather just race solymphing/activity levels so may not reflect real Community Development Status quo *) As mentioned earlier - due primarily because it shares borders with three other counties: Monmouth County *AND*NJ Turnpike Authority COMPANY AREA - MONMOUTH COUNTY HAS THE LARGEST POPULATION OF ANY COUNTY IN NEW JERSEY AS OF 2010 AND IT WILL ONLY INCREASE IF NJ TURNPike AUTHORITY COMPANY EVER MOVES OUT OF MONMOUTH COUNTY -- THIS IS POSSIBLY HARD TO SAY BUT REALLY SHOULD BE EXAMINED BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT MAKES DUMONT SO SPECIAL!

Today, Scope Mounts are still used by many shooters for their superior views. A scope mount is made up of two parts: The base and the objective lens. The base (also known as the tripod support or tripod arm) is attached to the firearm's receiver, and typically has a hinge that allows it to be rotated around its pivot axis. This rotation can be Used to adjust your shot placement on your rifle/gun target or change magnification levels on your scope. The objective lens is then screwed onto thisbase, typically with a Weaver style bracket (or other mounting system). Most scopes come with two objectives- one at each end of their tube! To use your scope properly, you will want to make sure both objectives are lined up so they're aligned with what you're seeing through your scope! There have been many variations over time of Scope Mount technology and design; however, some constants throughout these changes include: -Aperture screws must be tightened down securely when taking off/ putting back on an objective lens (so they do not loosen while in use) -Screwing aperture down too tight may cause distortion or blurriness when looking through your scope at targets in close range; thus increasing accuracy potential but decreasing viewport size available -Adjustable arms should be kept loose during transport so there isn't any movement of optics from their housing causing them "to wobble" - which would reduce resolution or brightness

Dumont is a small town in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 2,033 at the 2010 census. It is the home of Paramus High School and the Dumont Philharmonic Orchestra. The first settler in what would later become Dumont was Nicholas de Groat, who arrived in 1680. He named his township after himself and moved his family there from Newark, New Jersey. In 1824, John Dumont donated land to the village of Paramus and also founded Dumont Academy. The school served students until 1958 when it merged with nearby Paramus High School to formParamus Township Schools public school district. The first post office in what would later become Dumont was established on July 9, 1825 by James Simpson with the name "Newark". On January 1, 1860, it was renamed "Dumont." On October 3 of that year, the town received its charter from Governor Andrew Johnson and became an incorporated municipality under that name. The first mayor was Wm Troup (1860-1864). In 1915- 1916 two brothers named Edward Dickson operated a gas station at Main Street and Park Avenue in central Dumount which greatly helped support local businesses during World War I as well as providing jobs for many residents during wartime rationing periods; one brother even had a neon sign up proclaiming "GAS STATION DUMONT - Open All Hours" In 1940-1941 five houses were destroyed by fire while occupants were away at war; all but one of these homes were rebuilt either completely or partially within weeks following the fire as part of Project Homefront which targeted primarily low income homeowners during wartime

Dumont was founded in 1794 by John Dumont and his family as a small farming village on the east bank of the Raritan River. In 1814, Dumont granted land to Thomas Jefferson for his presidential library. The town declined after its peak population in the early 20th century but has since recovered somewhat with a current population of 6,500.
