Garfield who died in office on September 13th of that year; Garfield had been elected President two months earlier but did not take office until January 20th due to term limits set by Congress. The town was originally called "Garfield", but because of local opposition to the name change, it reverted back to its original spelling upon incorporation into Gloucester County on November 7th of that year. The first post office opened in 1848 and served portions of present day Cliffside Park as well as Allendale Township and Newtown Township up until 1861 when it moved to West Amboy Avenue in Amboy Township due to population growth thereby ending postal service there too In 1892, Clifford Ives developed land near current day Cliffside Park which he donated for development into a large estate known today as Ives Estate which includes several golf courses including one belonging today to Hillsdale Country Club In 1912 Clifford Ives married his second wife Elise Hirschhorn who also came from Germany In 1933 following Kristallnacht (the night of November 9-10), many businesses were destroyed or looted throughout Germany including those run by Jews such as J&R Weidmann & Sons cheese store where about $20 million worth of cheese was seized On December 12th 1933 Dr. Carl Jung made an application witharakterization under section 8(a) (2) for naturalized American Jewish immigrant Dr Leo Strauss so that he could carry out research activities pursuant to provisions contained therein related thereto under category "research organizations" . On February 14th 1934 an interview with Dr Strauss took place at 17 Broad Street . After some discussion with other members of staff regarding their research goals future applications would be referred directly to him rather than through various channels like publishings etc., resulting inDr Strauss becoming one of America's most recognizable genetic researchers during this time
