Cliffside Park, New Jersey is home to a number of ammunition companies dating back over a century. In the early 1900s, Cliffside Park was an important munitions manufacturing center due to its location at the confluence of several rivers. Ammunition production continued until 1962 when it was moved to nearby Camden. The industry has since been dormant, but remnants of it can still be seen in the area today. The first company to open in Cliffside Park was Wm. Bader & Sons Arsenal on Main Street in 1903. This small armory produced .22 caliber rifles and shotguns and later became part of Brownells Ammo Company which merged with Remington Arms in 1966. Over time, other manufacturers have opened their doors in Cliffside Park including Holland & Holland (1924-1998), Winchester Repeating Arms Corporation (1927-1983), and Rock Island Armory (1963-1999). Today, there are only two remaining firms active within the industry: PTR Firearms and Armory Ammunition Company. Today’s ammunition production takes many different forms including rifle rounds such as jacketed bullets and hollow points; shotgun shells such as buckshot and birdshot; handguns such as pistols and revolvers; grenades; bombs; paintball pellets; and so on. Each product has its own unique history that can be traced back to one or more original manufacturers who set up shop hereabouts long ago.

Cliffside Park, New Jersey was founded in 1846 by the merger of two small villages, Cliffside and Springvale. The area had been under British control for years before it was given to the United States in 1777 as part of the Treaty of Paris following the American Revolution. ammunition production began shortly thereafter, and today Cliffside Park is home to many shooting organizations including Cliffside Rifle Club, Cliffside Pistol Club, and Garden State Rifle Association.
Cliffside Park is a small town in Union County, New Jersey on the border of Middlesex and Sussex counties. The population was 6,868 at the 2000 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.1 square miles (5.2 km²), of which 1.9 square miles (4.0 km²) is land and 0.7 square mile (2.1 km²) (14 percent) is water.[1] Cliffside Park was first settled in 1785 by Germans who established a farmstead on what are now Old Bridge Road and Wall street east of present-day Cliffside Avenue. After American troops burned down much of Germany during World War I, many German refugees came to America and founded Cliffside Park in 1920 as part of the process known as "The Great Migration". In World War II, ammunition helped turn the tide of battle against Nazi Germany; Allied forces needed all the firepower they could get their hands on in order to win The Battle of Normandy. Since World War II, ammo production has continued apace; however, there are some key changes that have occurred over time: -Militaries now rely less on traditional munitions such as grenades or rockets for battlefield operations; instead they use high explosives or cluster munitions for greater destruction potential -Ammunition has become increasingly flexible through updates including digital printing technology; this allows manufacturers to produce different types of rounds for different missions
The first time ammunition was used in a firearm was in 1795 when British troops used muskets to shoot at American rebels during the Second Anglo-Dutch War. Ammunition usage increased significantly during the 1800s as firearms became more powerful and reliable. By 1836, muzzleloaders were being used with projectiles that weighed less than 0.50 caliber and were known as “tipped” or “tapping” munitions. The use of percussion caps led to the development of rifled firearms which allowed for greater projectile velocity and accuracy. In 1857, Henry rifle bullets were developed which could be fired from a long gun using black powder cartridges that had been bored out into smaller diameter rounds by means of a chisel or hand saw. This technology allowed guns to fire rounds with greater range and accuracy than ever before
Cliffside Park was first settled in 1785 by French and British colonists. The land that now makes up Cliffside Park was acquired from the Jerseys in 1814. The name comes from a high bluff on the north side of the park. By 1847, Cliffside Park had a population of around 1,500 people and consisted of only a few acres of land. However, development continued to grow as brickyards and breweries were established in the area. In 1872, Congress designated Cliffside Park as part of New Jersey’s western border, creating an enclave for wealthy white Americans on the southern tip of Manhattan. Growth slowed during World War II as industry shifted to other parts of New Jersey. However, after the war ended, growth resumed and today Cliffside Park has over 100 thousand residents. The park is home to several popular attractions such as its well-preserved historical buildings including the old DutchFort (1785), Philadelphian Hall (1848), and Midtown Plaza (1901). As well, there are numerous playgrounds, tennis courts, hiking trails, basketball Courts & morenas public areas including restaurants and nightlife options like Live Oak Tavern & Grill (a favorite spot for tourists) which have contributed to its popularity over time!
