Bound Brook is a town in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 23,826 at the 2010 census. Bound Brook is located on the southern border of Middlesex County and is bordered by Uniontown to the north, Atlantic City to the east and south, and Monmouth Township to the west. Bound Brook was founded in 1764 by English settlers as part of what would become Hunterdon County. In 1814, it became part of Burlington County. The townsite at Bound Brook was first settled in 1764 by Captain John Moore and his family who named their tract "Moore's Neck". The name stuck and when Bound Brook township was formed in 1814 it included land that adjoined Moore's Neck. The first school inbound from what is now Camden Avenue opened on October 15th, 1814 with 5 students attending from working families living just outside of Bound Brook limits on farms along Camden Ave which had been developed since European settlement began. It was not until 1830 that a second school opened inbound from Route 22 - this time with 10 students attending from people living near Weequahic Creek which flows through the town center and into Raritan Bay. In 1860 Bound Brook became an incorporated municipality under Burlington county law as per section 8 of Act No 2 of 1870 (Charter No 11). On November 3rd 1800 voters approved a proposition for incorporation establishing boundaries between Upper Freehold Township (north), South Amboy Borough (west) & North Brunswick Township (south) forming Belvidere Township while reference remained to create an outer boundary for Cumberland Valley parish bisecting Bound Brook between its eastern end & western end ending at Montville Reservoir beyond which lay East Brunswick Township well within boundaries set forth for that township by act directory no 1123 7/9/1899 chaptered under said act; however due to lack of appropriations requests made thereto Board did not adopt said proposal therefore effective December 1st 1800 boundary lines were as follows: North Brunswick Twp.,East Brunswick Twp.,Belvidere Twp.,Montville Reservation.— boundary never changed again after this date

Bound Brook is a town in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 8,821 at the 2010 census. Bound Brook is part of the Newark–Trenton metropolitan area. It was founded by English colonists in 1701 and named for the brook that ran through its center. Bound Brook's rich colonial history dates back to the early 1600s when Quaker settlers arrived in what is now Middlesex County. In 1686, John Woolridge laid out a plan for what would become Bound Brook Township, one of five original township forms in New Jersey. On May 1, 1701, Captain John Smith and his men discovered land on which he named Bound Brook after the brook that ran through its center. By 1705, Bound Brook had a courthouse and several stores and homes were built within its boundaries. The first school in Boundbrook was opened in 1815 by Reverend James Wright of Princeton University as an academy for girls. The first post office was established at BoundBrook on October 10, 1816 by Colonel Thomas Stroud with two granite specimens from Rome as his donation to the new society of Friends (now Quakers). The first truckload of apples delivered to Newark from nearby Orchard Lake landed at BoundBrook on December 5, 1816 – Apple Day! In 1818, boundary lines were drawn between Middlesex and Hunterdon counties due to heavy farming activity along both rivers; this caused many families to move away from their longtime homes into new ones just outside those counties limits – including those near whereboundbrook stands today! One of the earliest businesses inboundbrook operated as a general store which processed goods brought overland by horse-drawn wagons carrying produce such as wild grapes and figs from southern New England or Pennsylvania’s Susquehanna Valley during winter months when these fruits were not available fresh from local farms or marketplaces elsewhere in New Jersey but could only be stored for short periods before being sold again during warm summer months when they became available fresh from local farms or marketplaces elsewhere in New Jersey but could only be stored for short periods before being sold again during warm summer months !!! This business continued until about 1850 under different ownership prior to it becoming known as "The Store" !!! TheStore(later renamed "Borderedbrook Shopping Center") closed down circa 1975 although some remnants still remain today including parts ofthe front entrance façade/arcade depicting an old fashioned clocktower inspired by one seen at Oneonta State College - NY state university !!!!!!
