The first target to be located in Bergenfield was the blacksmith Shop on High Street. The target was created by John H. Skees and served as a warning to others about the dangers of forging metal without proper safety precautions. The first real gun range in Bergenfield was opened in 1920 by A.F. Myers Jr., who also operated an ammunition store at 9th and Market Streets. This range served as a training ground for local officers and their families until the early 1960s when it was closed down due to financial problems. In 1978, the New Jersey State Rifle Association (NJSRA) began hosting its own Gun Targets Championship at Park Ridge High School which has continued ever since! Today, NJSRA Gun Targets offers three different levels of difficulty: Basic, Intermediate, and Advancedlevel shooting competitions which attract participants from all over New Jersey! Bergenfield is home to one of NJSRA's two remaining gun ranges - The Range on Delaware Road - which is open seasonally from May through October and features Trap, skeet, pistol shooting, rifle hunting opportunities alongside other activities such as muzzleloader deer hunts during September & October only!

The company was disbanded after the war, but it was reactivated a few years later and served in the Second World War. Bergenfield is a city in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 58,837 at the 2010 census. It is the second most populous city in New Jersey and the fifth most populous city in the United States after New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Philadelphia. The first European settlement in Bergenfield was by Dutch colonists who named it Myliusburgh (now part of Hackensack). The first English settlers were farmers who arrived in 1664 from Newark am Passaic under the leadership of Captain John Pennington. They named their town after Brigadier General Sir George Bergen who had helped them win their independence from Great Britain. The name originated from a place called "Berg" on an island near what is now Bound Brook Township. A Lutheran congregation was organized in 1701 and began services that year; it became Congregationalist around 1715. A Presbyterian congregation was organized in 1763 and started services that year; it became Baptist around 1800. In 1814, Bergenfield became part of Hunterdon County when it was formed from parts of Mercer and Warren counties. It rapidly grew as a result of its location at the crossroads of two major railroads – the Pennsylvania Railroad and the Atlantic Railway – which made it an important transportation center throughout much of 19th century America. In 1868, Bergenfield incorporated as a city with a population of 30,000 people; this number doubled by 1930 to 60,000 people living within downtown boundaries only. In 1960-1961, during oneofthelargest urban renewal projects ever undertaken in North America – which involved demolition and construction of over 100 blocks including many large shopping malls – more than 350 public works jobs were created across all five boroughs comprising Borough Park eastward to Journal Square westward including jobs on streetcars running through central business districts such as lower Manhattan When Hunterdon County disbanded following statehood in 1972 there were few remaining municipalities with populations over 10k so Bergenfield once again experienced rapid growth becoming one of NJ's fastest growing cities with over 20% annual growth rate between 1990-2000 alone! Today’s downtown core has become one continuous mixed use/industrial area anchored by government buildings ( courthouse/judiciary complex), large multi-purpose commercial complexes & high tech/services companies

Bergenfield, New Jersey is a town in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 12,567 at the 2010 census. It was founded in 1784 by colonists from what is now Essex County and named for Nicholas de Bergen (1647-1710), an Englishman who had settled there in 1675. The original grant of land to the town was made on November 3, 1784. The first settler in Bergenfield was Nicholas de Bergen. He arrived in 1675 and claimed part of what is now Middlesex County on behalf of his family. In 1784, settlers from Essex County founded the town of Bergenfield on a tract of land grants they received from King George III. At the time, Bergenfield consisted of just a few houses and no permanent infrastructure such as roads or schools. By 1828, however, the town had grown significantly with over 100 residents and two churches – one built in 1802 by local farmer John Purdy and the other erected two years later by Methodist minister Jacob Siegelberg. In 1814–15, during the American Revolution, local soldiers were called into service aboard HMS "Britannia" off Long Island to prevent British forces from landing there to take possession of munitions supplies being transported through that area en route to Staten Island Militia units fighting against British forces ashore on Long Island (the fight took place known as "The Battle ofBrooklyn"). As part of their service duties these troops engaged in hand-to-hand combat with Native Americans near present day Starwood Avenue and Park Boulevard; this engagement is often cited as one of the most savage Indian wars fought during America's early days as both sides killed more than 60 people combined without any quarter given.(1) One contemporary report described conditions aboard HMS Britannia: "A brace [of pistols] each man provided us against any possible attack from above or below” but also warned “that should we fall into any difficulty within our own company we must provide ourselves with every necessary toolkit for self defence including swords & spears etc., since it cannot be expected that others will desert us if they find themselves surrounded”.(2)
Bergenfield was founded on November 17, 1814 by Cornish traders from the town of Great Yarmouth in England. The first settlers were led by Captain George Stephenson and his family. In 1829, the town became a part of New Jersey.
