Afterward, many businesses and citizens rallied around the task force’s cause and helped support local efforts such as creating housing projects and donating land to create new villages near Normandy beachhead. Today, Bergenfield is still known for its strong farming community, although some aspects have changed since its early days including becoming home to several universities along with numerous high-end businesses and homes.
