Berger Bullets & Ammo Inc., which was formed on February 21, 1922 by Alfred Berger and Arthur Ballentine, became one of the world’s leading suppliers of quality bullets for firearms including rifles, shotguns, handguns and pistols. The town was founded by German immigrants in 1795 and incorporated as a town on April 14, 1847. It was named after Baron Friedrich Wilhelm von Bergenhausen, who donated land to the town. The first settler in what is now Bergenfield came overland from Germany in 1795. They were organizers of the Palatine Society which transported goods between Newark and Philadelphia during the early 1800s. In 1802 they built their own mill on Hackensack River where they conducted their business until 1830 when they moved their mill to what is now called Main Street. The first store was built in 1811 and soon afterwards there were also houses erected hereabouts. By 1830 there were also three churches – one with a tower – within two miles (3 kilometers) of present day Bergenfield’s limits; this growth must have been due to increasing trade with neighboring towns as well as new settlers arriving on foot or by stagecoach each year). In 1834 an act was passed authorizing the erection of school buildings which became an important part of community life and development throughout its history up until that point; however, construction only began upon request from local farmers and not from municipal coffers as had been envisioned initially! With increased business opportunities available at this time schools sprang up all over rural America but few ever reached such proportions as did those constructed in Bergenfield; eventually leading to its nickname “The Township Schoolhouse City”! It wasn’t until after World War II that community services like social welfare emerged into prominence followingplantations being evacuated during wartime; programs like these continue to this day albeit with slightly different emphases today since communities have become more diverse both demographically and economically than when those programs originated!

As a result, when cannon batteries went into decline during World War II they were unable to replacements because torpedoboats could easily destroy them using torpedoes rather than shellfire or explosives

Bergenfield was a small town in Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 1,482 at the 2010 census. The name comes from the Dutch word "berent", meaning "bridge". The first inhabitants of Bergenfield were Native Americans who hunted and gathered wild plants and animals around the area that is now known as downtown. In 1784, Sir John Johnson founded a small farming community on what is now Second Avenue and Third Street called Johnsonstown. The original settlers were Episcopalians from Connecticut. They built their houses out of logs and stumps found near the river. In 1814, George Washington leased land to build a road between Princeton and Morristown; this led to the growth of Bergenfield as a township. In 1868, following an act by Governor James Kromm that allowed for township-level divisions within Mercer County, Bergenfield became one of six communities within newly created Camden Township (the other five being East Brunswick, Hawthorne, Middletown Township, West New York City Township and Woodbury). In 1899–1900 when Camden Township was dissolved due to mergers with various other counties in New Jersey during the consolidation period which followed World War I*, Bergenfield took part in the process as well* by becoming part of Hoboken Borough which then included most of northern Mercer County including Shinnecock Hills*. On July 1st 1915 – just over one hundred years after it had first been established – Bergenfield became an incorporated municipality with its own mayor *and council* under municipal charter #521.* As boroughs continued to be formed throughout New Jersey through legislative changes such as reapportionment following statehood in 1912* (*despite objections from some residents*) Bergenfield remained an unincorporated municipality until its incorporation into a city on February 14th 1961 pursuant to Municipal Charter No 922.* * notwithstanding objections from some residents
