Bellmawr, New Jersey is a town in Mercer County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 21,813 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Mercer County. Bellmawr was founded by George Washington and his army during the American Revolutionary War as Battle Creek Township. It was renamed to Bellmawr after General James Benedict Bell in 1802.
