The company closed its doors in 1968 following prohibition’s repeal Nationwide. However, Armstrong’s legacy lives on today as one of Atlantic City’s earliest proponents of firearm safety education programs – specifically for children – called “Armstrong Safety School for Kids.” The school remains open today and provides instruction on handgun safety despite current gun laws in New Jersey prohibiting such educational materials from being provided to minors statewide.
