The history of gun chokes in Atlantic City, New Jersey goes back to 1873. At that time, the town was a stop on the New York and Philadelphia Railroad. As rail travel increased in popularity, so did the demand for firearms. Accordingly,gun dealers and manufacturers began to set up shop in Atlantic City. One of the first such establishments was J.P. Morgan & Sons Firearms dealership which operated from 1873-1884. In 1886, John Daly opened his own store in Atlantic City which became one of the most popular gun stores in town. Thisestablishment sold handguns as well as shotguns and rifles. From 1886-1914, Daly operated several other stores throughout New Jersey before closing his doors permanently due to financial troubles. In 1914, James Pogue opened his Own Guns store at 601 Broad Street in Atlantic City which became one of the most successful gun stores of its type in America at that time. Pogue specialized in handguns including revolvers and pistols as well as shotgun ammunition and rifles from both sporting and hunting industries. His store was open until he retired from business in 1978 having been within its original footprint since its opening day! Another important figure within this industry during this era was George Ball who started his own firearms dealership called The Gents Store at 9 Ocean Avenue located just across the street from Pogue’s store on Broad Street (now home to The Palladium Casino). Ball’s business grew rapidly during these years becoming one of the largest handgun dealers functioning out of Atlantic City at that time! With all these businesses operating within an expanding population center such as Atlantic City, it is no wonder thatgun chokes were an integral part of American firearm culture during this period!

In 1834, the area around present-day Atlantic City was annexed by Newark. During World War II many American soldiers were stationed at Camp Atterbury which used to be located just east of town between Belle Isle Park and Neptune's Beach Boulevard (now West Side Highway). As an example of how close Camden – about 20 minutes away – was during those days: One soldier had his tent set up right next door to another’s at Camp Atterbury!

The city has been known for its casinos, which have been its mainstay since opening in 1931. Today, there are more than 60 casinos in Atlantic City with properties including some of the largest and most popular resorts in North America such as Harrah's Casino & Resort and Black Rock Casino As well as numerous single-room occupancy hotels called "Casino Lodges". In addition to casino gambling activities, Atlantic City also offers other forms of entertainment such as horse racing (the track at Monmouth Park racetrack being one of the most popular), football (the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles play their home games at Lincoln Financial Field), concerts (including rock concerts headlined by artists like AC/DC and Bruce Springsteen), watersports (particularly windsurfing and sailing) and art exhibits (such as those at Penn Station). In 2007, Forbes magazine listed Atlantic City among "America's Most Dangerous Cities". This ranking concerned crime rates specifically within specific neighbourhoods located near some high-risk areas such as Little Italy or Brick Lane; however, overall crime rates were quite low in these areas given that they are situated within walking distance of downtown or major highways like Route 66 or I-95
The first Europeans to visit the area were the Dutch in 1624 and the British in 1664. The area was part of New Netherland until it was acquired by the United States in 1776. The area became a center for gambling, prostitution, and other rackets during the 19th century. Atlantic City became an important port on the eastern seaboard during this time and experienced significant growth during Prohibition. As a result of its economic success, Atlantic City has become one of America's most popular tourist destinations.
