Somersworth is a town in New Hampshire, United States, with a population of 9,857 as of 2000. It is the only incorporated town in New Hampshire. Somersworth's history dates back to 1748 when the area was part of the Massachusetts Colony. The first settler in Somersworth was John Atwater who built a small cabin on what is now Main Street. In 1814, Captain James Cook visited the area and named it after his friend and mentor Sir John Herschel who lived nearby. The first store opened in Somersworth in 1818 by Jno Fenton and later by Elisha Gray. In 1875, Mayor Charles Sanders set up a public works committee to improve roads and bridges throughout the town which included providing funds for new gun sights for guns used by residents for target practice at their homes or businesses. By 1893, there were twenty-one gun sights available in Somersworth with an average price of $1 per sight. In 1895, Mayor Mable Tuttle organized an exposition including concerts and art exhibits at the Park Avenue Armory which drew attention to Somersworth from all over America. This led to increased business for local merchants as well as more people coming to visit during tourist season; this also helped increase property values in downtown Somersworth . In 1902, Mayor Wm Halsey formed a volunteer fire department which served the community until 1912 when it became municipalized under city government limits . The first paper machine shop operated in Somersworth on Union Street between High School and First National Bank around 1892; this machine shop produced newspapers such as "The Patriot" (New Hampshire) and "The Gazette" (Connecticut). In 1904-1905, one Mr. Fein sold seven bicycles which he had made himself from bicycle parts scavenged from old buses around town . From 1903 until 1907 two hotels were located on Main Street side by side: The Sentinel Hotel (now called The Inn at Main) ran by Mrs Gertrude Wilder before it went out of business due to lack of customers while The Regency Inn continued operations until 1916; it was finally destroyed by fire in 1950 . It should be noted that many different businesses joined forces during this time period such as farmers markets that flourished along Route 128 - these markets would provide fresh produce daily from local farms/campsites across New England

Somersworth is a town in New Hampshire, United States. The population was 2,819 at the 2010 census. Somersworth is part of the Manchester-Worthington, NH Metropolitan Statistical Area. Somersworth is known for its Pioneer Valley Village and Potters Hill Farms neighborhoods. The first settlers in what is now Somersworth were the Mims family who arrived in 1768 from Wales. A Presbyterian minister, Rev. David Mims, traveled toNH in 1769 and preached to the Native Americans near present-day Manchester while on his way back home from trapping expeditions with General George Washington's army during the French and Indian War. In 1772, Samuel Pritchard bought land east of town from Capt. John Morse for $2 per acre (still an unusual amount at that time). Pritchard named his new property "Somersworth" after his father's birthplace in Somerset County, England (now part of Northumberland County, Pennsylvania). In 1801, James Geddes purchased land west of town from Pritchard for $20 per acre (still an unusually high price at that time), which he divided into four lots and named them "Potters Hill", "Pioneer Valley", "Newfoundlands", and "Westchester". He also constructed a small log cabin as a farm house on one of these lots. In 1802 Drury sold his land to Elijah Howe for $50 per acre ($2/acre) making it one of the most expensive parcels of farmland ever sold in New Hampshire history. Howe built a small frame house on this lot which still stands today as part of Pioneer Valley Village complex located off Route 9A approximately two miles east of town center across Frome Road (Route 129A). The original post office building located opposite Howe's home remain standing today as operator Welland Bank continues to offer services there today under its current name: Wells Fargo Bank & Trust Company (). Hebrew Immigrant Society established a religious school there called Zion School which continued until about 1900 when it merged with First Congregational Church to form First Universalist Church . After about 50 years even though much has changed around here since then including some large fires that destroyed many homes over time - like Solyndra - I believe our residents will always remember pioneers such as Elijah Howe who made this little corner so special by simply buying or donating their own pieces of land himself without anyone else telling them what to do!

They can also be found on rifles where an accurate platform is required for long range shooting practice or competition purposes as well as during peace time when there is no need for Deadly Force protection!

In 1857, Samuel Colt produced what is considered to be the world’s first magazine-fed pistol, the Colt revolver. This weapon was designed as a self-defense tool that could be held in one hand while firing another round from the magazines located on either side of the gun. It was later renamed after its inventor and became known as “the Rifleman’s Friend”
