At its peak it employed over 200 people and produced more than 2 million pounds of bread each year! In 1827 John Henniker founded Henniker Manufacturing Company which manufactured shoes and other items until 1907 when it merged with Sears Roebuck & Co., becoming Sears Holdings Corporation (SHC). At its height SHC employed over 150 thousand people across thirty countries! In 1916 there was an invasion by Germany during World War I which caused much damage to property in town including two factories that were destroyed! From 1941-1945 Nashqa was home to Operation Overlord as Allied forces invaded Nazi Germany; many local businesses were among those damaged or destroyed during that time! Today, Nashua remains a highly technological center with several major companies headquartered here such as IBM, Constrained Power Systems Inc., Symantec Corp., Intel Corporation (INTC), Nortel Networks Inc., Philips Electronics NV and NEC Corporation (NEC). In 2007nostic HealthCare Partners announced they would be moving their headquarters from Hartford Connecticut to Nashua This decision followed allegations made against them by another large healthcare company who had contracted with them while they were still under investigation by regulators

This rapid growth led to increased infrastructure needs and contributed significantly to Nashua's current prosperity today. The history of Nashua is reflections of its citizens - from those who have lived here all their lives to those who have moved here recently for work or education opportunities. Many things that make Nashua unique – its mix of recent European immigrants with Native Americans who founded it; its mixture of industrial (manufacturing) companies with agriculture (farming); its location on Route 3 – remain unchanged since they were first brought about by these pioneers themselves or their descendants over 200 years ago!
