The town borders Manchester (to the north), Amherst (to the east), Lebanon (to the south) and Durham (to the west). Together they make up what is known as "the urban area" of Nashua which includes all or most of downtown and much of suburban neighborhoods around High Street between Amherst Road and Townsend Road within walking distance of each other as well as most major universities including Dartmouth College and NH Institute of Technology within easy driving distance.
