The Laser Range started out as an humble 10-meter by 10-meter plot of land on the side of a mountain in Manchester. It wasn’t until 1997 that they started building their now signature 5,000 sq ft Laser Range Facility which seats over 100 people for target practice and more importantly, learning about lasers. Since its inception, the Laser Range has seen many changes. They have added new targets including a “Walking Woman” target which became popular due to it being challenging but also achievable for those who are not mechanically inclined or experienced at using lasers. In addition to their targets, they also offer educational seminars on all things laser related such as firing modes and how lasers can be used in law enforcement settings. One of the most memorable moments from the Laser Range’s history occurred when they hosted America’s first laser tag tournament back in 2001.
