Gun-pouch usage then decreased significantly until 1986 when President Ronald Reagan issued Executive Order 12233 which made all semiautomatic pistols an illegal weapon (Reagan order). Gun-pouchusage then increased significantly until 1993 when President Bill Clinton signed Executive Order 9995 which made all handguns legal again (Clinton order). Since 1993, gun-pouchusage has gradually declined back into recent levels as new technologies have come onto market which are easier and faster to use than traditional methods of firearm storage such as straps or buckles (Ritchie technology). These technologies include retention devices such as retention straps which keep firearms attached to users’ clothing but allow them easy access should they need to be stored again at a later date; key ring systems which allow owners access their guns either physically or via voice commands; electronic device lockers/holders which secure weapons inside devices such as cars; body armor insertswhich attach directly onto user’s body armour;and combination lockswhich secure firearms inside devices combined with other personal security measures
