Lebanon, New Hampshire is a small town located in central New Hampshire. The population was 2,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Manchester-Hardingborough, NH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first time Lebanon was mentioned in written form was in 1627 when Samuel Pembroke wrote about "a very good and thriving city called Lbamonia" on the border of present day Vermont and Massachusetts. The Pembrokes were Scots who had settled in what is now Lebanon before the British Invasion of America in 1775. Lebanon's history goes back even further than that. In 1194 BC, an ancient spring known as Lebanon bubbled up from under the earth and water sources here are still used today for drinking by locals and tourists. In 1823, when England acquired New Hampshire from France following the Louisiana Purchase, it became one of their many colonies along with Rhode Island, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. As a result of this acquisition, much land changed hands including parts of what is now Lebanon which included several farms belonging to John Nash who also owned part of Manchester-Hardingborough which was then part ofNH.. Nash donated these lands to Christianity through his daughter Lydia who married George Whitefield in 1768 while living in Salem MA.. When Whitefield moved to NH he founded Shirley Temple Academy which grew into one of NH’s leading educational institutions where over 350 students currently attend classes each semester. This event not only symbolized America’s move towards democracy but also demonstrated to English people that there were other places across seas where they could find wealth and opportunity too if they tried hard enough.. Since its incorporation as a village on November 15th 1889 by order of Governor Jonathan Edwards it has experienced rapid growth typical for villages during this time period with an increase in both total population (from 1,023 to 2,898) as well as housing stock (from 271 to 476). Despite some challenges such as periodic flooding due to heavy rains or winter snows Lebanese villagers have always managed to overcome them by sheer determination and spirit!

In 1830, when France became an ally of the United Kingdom against France and its French allies, it acquired concessions from the Ottomans that included parts of present-day Lebanon. After World War I (1914-18), when Great Britain ceded control over much of eastern Mediterranean to France, the oil-rich eastern half of Lebanon fell into French hands and became known as Greater Beirut. The term "Lebanon" entered English usage after 1920 to describe what was then British Mandate Palestine, although in reality Lebanese autonomy continued until 1975. New Hampshire's history began with European contact in 1620 when Lawson Henshawe explored what is now New Hampshire. He named the area Pemaquid Key because he saw a clump of trees on one side near what is now Portsmouth Harbor which he thought resembled a keyhole or pemaquid plant. From this discovery came early references to the region including descriptions by Pilgrims in 1624 as "Theisus Plantation" while still within sight of Boston Harbor. That same year English traders with settlement plans called Forton had landed at Portsmouth harbor on September 25th but soon abandoned their endeavors due to bad weather; however they left behind an earliest reference to New England being called "Hampshire". A letter dated November 12th, 1704 from Captain George Washington noted that there were people living near modern day Portsmouth who could tell him about Indian trade going through Long Island Sound: After King George III granted independence to India on August 15th 1947, British subjects living inside India continued to be subject unto British law even after Partition occurred between India and Pakistan - something that continued until 1965 when Pakistan merged into Bangladesh and all British subjects inside India were automatically absorbed into that new nation state system). As per Partition rules those who had links with Britishers during WW1 or earlier were consideredBritishers for tax purposes whereas IndiansinsidePakistanwereexemptFrom taxationalthoughtheyremained SubjectToBritishlaw.(See below for more information) Consequently many Indians in East Pakistan(now Bangladesh)received citizenship rights only AFTER theycleanedoutall BRITISH remainsfromPakistani soil...As per Partition law most INDIAN males over 18 years old who held any connection with Britishers during WW1 or earlier were considered CLASSIFICED AS COLONIAL GROUPS WHO WOULD BE ENTITLED TO CIVIL RIGHTS AND BENEFITS UNDER THE NEW PAKISTAN ZAMINI CONSTitution OF 1950 BUT THIS WAS SO LITTLE IN NUMBER THAT IT DOES NOT APPEAL TO THE PUBLIC...
