Lebanon, New Hampshire is a small town in southeastern New Hampshire. The population was 591 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Concord-Grafton, NH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first known inhabitants of Lebanon were the Algonquins, who arrived from Quebec around 1600. By 1700 they had founded a village on the east bank of the Merrimack River and named it after their leader, Samuel Lebanon. In 1837, when Concord was incorporated as a city, Lebanon became one of its first wards and soon became an important commercial center with its own post office and schoolhouse. The Panic of 1907 destroyed much agricultural production in rural New England and led to a decline in prices for agricultural goods which led to increased Unemployment among farmers throughout eastern Massachusetts. This situation caused increasing dissatisfaction among many Lebanese citizens with their government which they saw as weak and inefficiently responsive to economic conditions outside of Beirut while neglecting their own interests; this sentiment helped lead to secession from Canada in 1909 under the leadership of Jabbe Boudreau (a Lebanese American). Since independence in 1963 there have been several waves of immigrants seeking opportunity and better lives: Syrians (1956-1960), Haitians (1965-1970), Vietnamese (1975-1980), Iranians (1984-1988), Libyans (1991-1996) However these waves have not uniformly impacted all aspects within Lebanon or Communities here locally & nationally; large areas untouched by migration such as Southwestern Highlands remain largely untouched (& wealthier than ever prewar) due mostly to strong families ties & community values built over generations (& intimate knowledge shared by friends). foothills communities like ours are eagerly welcoming newcomers but must also learn how adjust quickly/appropriately to unique cultural values etc.; few know English fluently well enough yet some may feel lost without familiar surroundings

Lebanon, New Hampshire is a small town in Hancock County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 2,988 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Manchester–Newton, NH-VT-RI Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is located on the banks of the Watauga River and its namesake creek. The first settlers in Lebanon were farmers who arrived in 1776 from Pennsylvania. The town was named for Captain Pierre LeBrun who founded a trading post there in 1781. By 1802, it had a population of 150 people and included nine stores and two churches. In 1812, when New Hampshire became a state, Lebanon became one of its first towns. In 1822 it had an population of 350 people and included sixteen stores and four churches. In 1870, Lebanon voted to become an incorporated village with a government that was headed by a board of trustees consisting of five residents elected by property owners. On November 3rd of that year, the village held its first election with 27 votes cast for president; four members were chosen by vote from among the trustees and three were appointed by Governor John Wentworth Chase as commissioners to serve on his special judicial committee which hears appeals from summary judgments rendered by municipal court judges under section 511Aa of chapter 605N Connecticut code (now section 1111Aa Of chapter 721N Of title 24Of New England state). On July 15th 1890 local authorities adopted a new form of government known as an "ordinances" ordinance providing for township organization into precincts with voting rights exercised through wardens or vice presidents elected directly from each precinct according to sex rather than property owner representation on village board which then determined positions on various committees including finance and public works while also having authority over all streets within limits set out in deeds made before April 1st 1800 without subsequent change until repealed effective December 1st 1903 pursuant to act entitled "An Act To Repeal An Ordinance Passed In pursuance To An Order Of The Board Of Education Dated February 14th 1888" hereafter referred to as "the repeal ordinance". The repeal ordinance provided that no street within limits set out in deeds made before April 1st 1800 could be changed until December 1st 1903 so that villages could be organized into precincts based upon square footage rather than wooded acreage while concurrently reallocating farms between precincts sharing common borders thereby preventing collusion between certain landowners where they might hope to profit from giving water away at low cost while receiving nothing back in return thereby leading some citizens to refer to their township status as "civic hell." Prior thereto citizens resided primarily outdoors hunting game or gathering furs when necessary but after ratification this right was removed making Huntingdon Quarters essentially coexistence only resorting now during specified months other than turkey season thanks go provincial Legislatures
Lebanon, New Hampshire was founded in 1765 as a small town on the banks of the Merrimack River. The town rapidly grew and by 1820, it had reached its peak population. The town's growth caused problems, however, and by 1834, Lebanon had become an unauthorized stop on the Underground Railroad. In 1835, the state of New Hampshire granted Lyon township to Lebanon and it continued to thrive until 1850 when a fire destroyed much of the town. In 1865, when Vermont became a U.S. state, Lebanon became part of that state as well and slowly declined thereafter until it disappeared from historical records in 1972.
