However, it wasn't until 1892 when Lieutenant Colonel Augustus H. Goodwin developed a system for manufacturing precision rifle ammunition that allowedfor GUN TARGETS production at Bald Peak. Today, GUN TARGETS are still a popular form of indoor target competition and can even be enjoyed by civilians as well as professional shooters across America. In 1984-1985 cedar shake mining resumed but again stopped due to low yields from new digs; it recommenced operations again only for a short time before ceasing completely due to environmental concerns around tailings ponds created from previous extractions.) By 2003 there had been no detectable recoverable resources remaining within radius of original mineshaft entrance after almost fifty years of operation statewide

Sparks, Nevada was a small town in the Mojave Desert until it became a ghost town in the late 1800s. The townsite was named for General George Armstrong Custer's battle site at Little Bighorn in 1876.
