This facility would serve as the home base for many local Pistol & Rifle Clubs until it was destroyed by fire in 1916. Henderson quickly became known as one of America's most firearms-friendly cities due to its thriving ammunition industry. In 1905, gunmen from San Francisco staged one of the largest simultaneous shootings ever conducted outside Las Vegas when they stormed into The Armory shop demanding their share ofulerated profits generated by sales of black powder bullets dating back to 1855
