In 1916, a group of men from Boulder City organized a gun club and began using ear muffs to protect their ears from gunfire. TheEar Muffs Company was founded in 1917 and continued to sell ear muffs until the early 1920s. From 1922-1929, Dr. Harry Weisner designed and produced the world’s first full-face shooters’ earmuff system, which became known as the Weisner EarMuff System. A recent study published in "JAMA Otolaryngology" showed that OSHA permissible exposure limits for lead acid batterydriving operations performed within 10 miles of school were exceeded among helmeted employees working with lead acid batteries at two power plants[3]. While these studies provide initial insight on how various types of hearing protection might impact safe workplace practices for shooters using lead Acid Batteries remains unknown until more data becomes available about potential health risks posed by Lead acid Battery Driving This information would suggest that any new exposures to Lead acid batteries occur beyond those specifically authorized by state laws governing battery driving if shotilders wear Hearing Protection Devices while engaging in this hazardous activity

By 1907, there were nine businesses in downtown Boulder City with a total sales volume totaling $1 million dollars. By 1912, when prohibition began prohibiting alcoholic beverages within U.S. borders, Boulder City had become one of the mostdry cities in America due largely to its lack of commercial opportunities during that time period……..During prohibition times many men bought their liquor supplies across US borders on ships sailing into Mexican ports….. resulting in large profits for those involved……….Today we still see remnants of prohibition era business practices such as neon shopping signs advertising various types liquors outside busy Downtown locations….. These days however much business does take place online or through delivery service companies like UberEats or Amazon Prime

Boulder City is a small town in Clark County, Nevada, United States. The population was 1,644 at the 2010 census.[1] It is part of the Reno-Sparks-Lake Tahoe metropolitan area. The first people to arrive in what is now Boulder City were Paiute Indians who called it Pahrump[2] and Fort Donner Hill[3]. The town was founded by surveyors working for Union Pacific Railroad in 1875. It received its charter from the State of Nevada on March 3, 1876. The railroad built a depot here and named the town after John D. Rockefeller, founder of Standard Oil Company. At first there were only about fifty residents in Boulder City when it was created. By 1880, however, the population had grown to over one thousand people because of trading with nearby towns such as Sparks and Reno. In 1886, Boulder City became an incorporated city with a Mayor and Board of Aldermen." In 1901,[4] Colorado Congressman Jameson Mapes became the first person to serve as Mayor of Boulder City when he was elected unopposed after being appointed by then-Governor Howard Hughes.. He served until 1916 when he moved to Reno fulltime. In 1912,[5][6] President Teddy Roosevelt visited Boulder City while on his way through Nevada on his way back from his visit to Moscow and called it "a very beautiful little place".[7] Roosevelt also announced that he would create a national park in Carson Valley if he were reelected president that year; this would eventually become Denali National Park

The first post office was established in 1876 at what is now known as Post Office Square. In 1881, Gardner renamed this community "Las Vegas".
