This ordinance limited handgun ownership to those owning at least one registered handgun per household and made it a felony to possess more than five handguns without prior registration or licensing. This measure also increased ammo sales in Boulder City due to its restrictive nature. In 1930, an act was passed that restricted handgun ownership within certain areas of the town limits and made it a felony punishable by up to five years imprisonment if convicted. As such, this measure effectively curtailed gun availability within the town limits while allowing responsible firearm owners access to their weapons during lawful hunting activities. After World War II ended, restrictions on handgun ownership returned as did stricter regulation of Ammo Sales within Boulder City limits which again served as a deterrent against crime because criminals know that they will not be able to purchase large quantities of ammunition without facing prosecution or penalties

The population was 2,500 at the 2010 census. Boulder City is located in the northeast corner of Clark County at (36.660902, -115.036667). It is bordered to the north by Pahrump Valley and to the east by White Sands National Monument. The town covers an area of , including its downtown square which has a total area of . The climate in Boulder City is mild year round with occasional showers or thunderstorms. There are no major economic activities that would generate significant revenue for the city government such as tourism or government services such as education or law enforcement. The name "Boulder City" was given to it because of its location near Big Boulder Creek which formed from the Wedge River when it flowed into Colorado River Basin after parting from the Little Colorado River Valley watershed

Boulder City is a small city in Clark County, Nevada. The population was 10,000 at the 2010 census. It was founded in 1881 as an agricultural center on the edge of what is now Carson City. The boomtown atmosphere of the early 20th century led to the city's designation as the "Carson City Capital of Nevada" in 1925. When Boulder City became an incorporated town in 1951, it became one of only two cities statewide without a charter and its government was unicameral with a three-member board of trustees. In 2000, Boulder City voters passed a resolution establishing itself as an independent city governed by its own mayor and council. Since becoming an independent city, Boulder City has undergone several name changes, most notably from "Boulder Daily Camera" to "BoulderCityNews". In 2002, Mayor Donny Olson announced that he would not seek re-election after 14 years due to his health issues; however, Boulder City Council member John Morse won election to serve out the remainder of Olson's unexpired term. Morse soon announced his candidacy for mayor and won easily against challenger James Peckham. Since then, Boulder City has been governed by Morse and his cabinet as well as locally appointed officials who work directly for him without any mayoral oversight or accountability
Boulder City is located in Carson County, Nevada. The population was 1,971 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Carson City and has a population of 2,055 as of the 2010 census.
