Boulder City, Nevada is located in the southeast corner of Utah and is about an hour's drive from Salt Lake City. It was founded in 1881 by businessmen who came to find a new home for their families after leaving the Mormon Church. Today, Boulder City is known for its recreation and tourism industry, as well as its architecture and museums. The city has a population of over 25,000 people and sits on 7 square miles (18 km2). The first Europeans to visit what is now Boulder City were grantees of the Mormon Battalion under Brigham Young. They arrived in 1881, when the area was still part of Mexico. After surveying the area they decided it would make more sense to establish a new town in this location than near any other existing settlements because of its strategic location: close to both Cache Valley and Southern Utah Territory but separating it from California. With this in mind, business men from various parts of America set out to found Boulder City. One important factor that contributed to Boulder City’s success was its advantageous location: easy access to water resources and trails which lead visitors throughout Utah Territory; safe haven for travelers during times of war or political instability; plenty of buildings available for construction; ample land available for farming; and friendly locals who were willing to cooperate with newcomers. Some early businesses in town included hardware stores, banks, cottonseed oil mills, grain elevators, lumberyards and theatrical theaters. In addition to these major industries there were also smaller businesses such as grocery stores, rental cars companies and feed stores that thrived until the late 20th century when technology took over many aspects of life hereabouts including agriculture which has since declined significantly due largely to global economic forces but also because labor costs have increased dramatically hereabouts making it difficult for small farmers- particularly those dependent on irrigation-to compete against larger agricultural organizations without special privileges or assistance from government officials. Today much activity takes place within town limits only- churches services are held at various locations within downtown while restaurants offer limited menus outside limited hours - with few exceptions large conventions take place at one time or another all across east central Utah (Kaysville westcentral), Salt Lake County (Orem) as well as several townships located along I-15 corridor north/southwest thereof including Cottonwood Heights just south off I-15 exit 202A Junction Road between Cottonwood Heights Homesites #1 & 2 west off I-15 exit 204 Drive between Interstate 15 Exit 205A east off I-15 Exit 206A just south side exit 207 Business Loop Rd., Altadena Mesa east side entrance onto US 191E

In 1912, the city lost its charter and became an unincorporated community. In 1930, Boulder City merged with nearby Reno to become one municipality. The merger resulted in the creation of two separate schools systems within the municipality: one for children from low-income families and one for children from more affluent families. In 1984, Boulder City was renamed Glenwood Springs after Glenwood Springs Ranch owner Harry Glenwood donated land to make the community available as a park and nature reserve.
