Construction of other major infrastructure projects during this time included: Belknap Road (now I-35), Market Street Bridge (now US 71), Interstate 240 and US 68/US 281 interchange south of town; as well as numerous small projects that helped improve local roads and bridges such as: Jones Avenue bridge replacement project; Hendrickson Boulevard reconstruction project; Wichita Boulevard intersection reconstruction project; North Side road improvement project...the list goes on! Today, businesses continue to thrive in South Sioux City thanks to its strong economy and growing population!
