The original gun choke consisted of two pieces of metal that were joined together with a piece of wire. To use the choke, the shooter had to fit one end of the metal piece into the other and then place their hand over the mouth or nose of the victim. Once they had put enough pressure on the choke, they could pull it tight and stop the victim's air supply. This system was very effective at preventing people from breathing and was often used in shootings during prohibition times.

Scottsbluff is a town in Douglas County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 1,829 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Omaha–Council Bluffs, NE Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first people to live near Scottsbluff were the Potawatomi and Omaha Indians. A post office called Scottsbluff was established in 1868, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1907. The town site was first surveyed by James H. Fenton in 1881. A school district was organized in 1902, and a fire destroyed most of the original buildings in 1932. A new school building was completed in 1937, and remains operational today as Scottsbluff Middle School. A store built by George Wernham on Main Street opened for business on December 1, 1865. The store continued operation until it closed its doors on July 15, 1922 due to damage caused by a tornado that killed six people and damaged fifty-eight homes near downtown Scottsbluff. In 1927 the state legislature passed an act creating the Douglas County Agricultural Experiment Station which moved to Scotts bluffs from Gordonville on October 10th that year after years of being housed at Neblunga (now Council Bluffs). The experiment station operated there until 1969 when it relocated to Creighton University's McCormick Place campus south of Omaha because of budget cuts at State government agencies (). In 1978 an additional $10 million dollars were given for agricultural research by then Ulysses S Grant President Jimmy Carter through his USDA Rural Development Administration program which also housed several other institutes including those run by Iowa State University and Purdue University before their closure during the 1990s according to "Nebraska: History Encyclopedia". In 2006 current owner Intuit bought out Great Plains Data LLC who had been operating it since 1998 with plans to eventually demolish all but one building which would have allowed Intuit access to 3 Generation data storage technology currently used by many small businesses across America however this never came to fruition as Intuit later decided not To expand into Nebraska beyond what they already had presence with offices located nearest them such as Kearney Nebraska City Center Scotts bluffs has experienced some growth over time especially since World War II when industry picked up due to increased demand for aluminum cans following Pearl Harbor There are currently two schools within Scott'sBlUFF; one elementary (grades PK-5) known as "Scotts BlUFF Elementary" while another high school (grades 6-12) known as "McCormick High". Both schools share a common gymnasium/auditorium complex where sports teams compete against each other both locally and regionally . There are also three businesses located within town limits; two restaurants known as "Pizza Hut" & "Denny's", while another business specializes primarily in pet supplies known as "Burt's Bees". One significant development that took place during recent years is that baseball has become popular here with several teams playing yearly games outdoors or inside local stadiums throughout summer months . This growing popularity has led more people moving into town over time making Scotchtown one of fastest growing towns around!

Scottsbluff, Nebraska is a small town located in Scottsboro County, Nebraska. The population was 597 at the 2010 census. The town was founded in 1881 by General George Armstrong Custer and his men after they were driven out of their original home of Doniphan, Kansas by Indian scouts. It was named for Capt. John Scott who led a United States cavalry unit during the Mexican-American War and then became a trader in the area. The first store in Scottsbluff opened on Main Street in 1885. By 1910, there were six businesses open in Scottsbluff with a total of $2,000 in sales. In 1916, the post office moved to its current location on Third Street from an old hotel on Second Avenue. The population increased rapidly following World War I as soldiers returned home from overseas and began farming and trading here. In 1925, the Cornhusker All-American Football League (CAFL) was formed in Omaha and Scottsbluff joined it as one of its teams. From then until 1957, the town had two teams playing each other each week in what is now known as the "Cornhuskers vs Wildcats" game series (now known as "Bowl games"). In 1957, when Omaha won their third AFL championship under coach Curly Lambeau and player quarterback Norm Van Brocklin, Scottsbluff's team also won their corresponding CAFL championship game against Topeka 24–7; this made Scotts Bluffs second football team ever to win both championships simultaneously (the first being Topeka’s victory over Iowa State). During World War II most of the male residents left for military service so there was no real business or trade activity until after peace came into effect which created more jobs opportunities for locals which led to another increase in population throughout the 1960s through 1970s witnessing an influx of people from all over America including many Germans who had fled East Germany during that time period due to political instability there; this migration also resulted in more German language speakers becoming residents here than before causing some confusion among some English speaking residents about what type of language actually prevailed within these communities despite everyone knowing German well enough not to need any special recognition for it Since then there has been only sporadic growth with no new stores opening up since 2000 although some apartments have been built closer to downtown but still staying within limits set by guidelines established by city officials back then There has also been little major development going on outside of core areas such as riverfront redevelopment that happened around 2007-2009 but overall things seem stagnationish again which may be because money is tight right now given how difficult it has become to find new investors willing to put money into projects outside those core areas especially near downtown where most people live As mentioned earlier since 2000 when local government ordinance changed allowingSleepy Head Marina & Resort - formerly Sleepy’s Landing - ontoshore property just east side main drag between 2nd Ave/3rd St NW & Arapaho Rd NE across street from old fire station which once housed library - limit placed on number o boats docked at night & amount o light bulbs allowed inside___ __ __ ___ ___ ___ ___
Scottsbluff was founded in 1855 by John W. Scott and his son, James W. Scott. The town was named for General Scotts' Brigade that fought in the American Civil War. In 1880, the Scott family sold the town to J.P. Morgan and his partners for $10,000 cash. The town continued to grow during the 19th century with many new businesses being established including a post office, hotel, bank, and grain elevator. In 1911, Scottsbluff became a city with incorporation of its own under the name of Omaha City Limits Incorporated. The city grew quickly due to its location on the edge of Nebraska Territory and its access to resources such as water and farmland which made it an attractive Location for Businesses looking to expand into new markets outside of Omaha or Lincoln. By 1925, Omaha City Limits had grown enough that it merged with neighboring Council Bluffs into one city under the name of Scottsbluff-Council Bluffs Municipal Corporation
