Norfolk has always been an agricultural center due to its fertile soil and plentiful rainfall which allows crops such as corn (maize), potatoes (yams), wheat (barley) and cotton(canola)to grow abundantly. Notable products include cheese (John Deere), eggs (Paula's Red Mill), butter (Lone Star Nation Foods), bacon (Arkansas Pig Farms LLC.), ham (Anchor Magazine Meat Packers Inc.)and sausages(ATS American Sausage Co.). Additionally, Norwich hosted one of America's largest rodeos in 1997 which drew over 200 000 spectators
