The La Vista Gun Parts Company was founded in 1919 by John and Myrtle LaVista. The company became a major supplier of firearms parts to the Nebraska community. In the 1930s, the La Vista Gun Parts Company added a rifle factory to its operations. The company continued to produce firearms parts until it was sold in 1984 to American Mfg. Co., Inc.
