In 1936, NRA meetings were moved from La Vista to Lincoln because of increased gun violence that had been taking place throughout the state of Nebraska. In 1945, an attempt was made to merge both organizations into one entity known as “National Firearms Association” but this did not succeed due to differences between NRA’s goals and those of LAVANDER GUN MAGAZINE CO., INC., which became permanently associated with NFA on July 1st 1946).
