The first pistols were made out of iron or other heavy materials so they couldn’t be easily converted into Air Guns but over time lighter materials have been used such as plastic or aluminum alloy so they can be more portable and easy to control! Pistols became Air Guns because you could now fire pellets instead of shot guns!

Hastings was a small town in Nebraska, located on the east side of the Great Plains. The first European to arrive in what is now Hastings was French trader Pierre Le Moyne who landed there in 1674. Hastings served as the capital of Nebraska from 1868-1892, and held that distinction until Lincoln became its permanent capital. In 1907, Hastings was renamed for General Ulysses S. Grant after he visited the town during his military campaign against Mexico. The town's population peaked at around 509 in 1920 but declined rapidly thereafter due to a series of economic problems including numerous closures of local mills and reductions in agricultural production. By 1990, Hastings had fewer than 100 residents remaining and has since ceased to exist as a community.
On July 6, 1868, Hastings was the site of a major battle that resulted in the defeat of United States forces under General Winfield Scott. The battle was fought near the town's center and saw an increased number of casualties on both sides due to artillery and cavalry fire.
