By 1922, all Shooter’s Targets had come into being using either Metal or Plastic construction! By this time there were many different designs available on the market including Folding Targets which became very popular during World War II! After World War II ended in 1945, new designs started being developed such as Tumbleweeds which allowed users to Shoot multiple Targets at once without having any trouble!! In 1949, a new Shooting Hall was built on State Street and became home to both the local sheriff's department and state police academy. Columbus, Nebraska is a small town in the US state of Nebraska. It is located on the Missouri River, about 25 miles northeast of Omaha. The population was 3,521 at the 2010 census. The town was founded in 1854 by Luther P. Johnson and others as a trading post on the edge of present-day Columbus Junction. It became a city in 1907 and became an agricultural center after World War I. The city declined after that until it regained its status as a small town when it annexed part of neighboring Lincoln in 2003. The history of Columbus began with Luther P. Johnson, who settled there in 1854 from Iowa City, Iowa. He built what is now called the Johnson Store on Main Street near today's Exchange Place shopping district to trade goods with Indians from Kansas Territory and other parts of the country for Comecon corn (a type of maize). In 1856 he married Jane Hampton; they had two children, also Luther P. Johnson Jr., who later served as mayor of Columbus and died there in 1957 and Jane Axton Hampton Poston, who became an Executive Director at American Express Company after her husband's death; they are both buried there beside their father-in-law–the first woman to hold such an office in Northwest Nebraska.–Gerald Wolkowitz

The journey of Columbus, Nebraska began on July 6, 1847 when American Commodore James K. Polk sent a letter to the Spanish king Ferdinand VII requesting permission to send a fleet of ships and men to explore the Western hemisphere. After much debate, Ferdinand granted the request and ordered his Admiral Don José de Torres y Valdés to lead a squadron of eight warships and over two hundred men expedition from Havana, Cuba. On October 12th, 1847, the fleet sailed into Lake Erie and arrived in the port of Buffalo on November 3rd. The expedition then set out for what was supposed to be an open sea route through what is now Mexico but instead found themselves sailing into Central America. The expedition experienced many difficulties during their voyage including weather conditions that kept them at sea for weeks at a time without food or water. After reaching Nicaragua City on December 5th, they were met by Juan Ponce de León who told them about the great land mass known as America which he had seen in his travels around Florida. The group then continued south until they finally reached Honduras on January 8th, 1848. Here they were met by Nicolás Cámpora who said that he had discovered gold veins near Potosi so the group continuedsouthward until they arrived in Guatemala City on February 2nd where they were met by Francisco Pizzarro who said that he had discovered new territory north of Peru called Chile which would make Peru part of Spain if it wasn't seized by Chile first. However, Columbus decided not to pursue this claim and left Guatemala City with his shipwrecked crew back home on March 14th sick from their long trip across Central America with no clear goal or destination other than Panama which they eventually reached in 1851 after enduring more than three years at sea without landfall or success. Upon arrival in Panama City, Columbus' crew began looking for somewhere to land so that he could begin repairs to his ship and start again on his next quest; this time exploring South America for mineralogy and possible trade routes with China which he thought might be available due to recent discoveries made there such as gold mines and copper reserves. He also planned to establish trading posts along some potential trade routes with South American countries such as Argentina and Brazil in order gain access to goods unavailable through traditional means like sailboats or horsesback riding safaris across vast Andes mountainside ecosystems rich in animal life including llamas, vicuñas (a type of monkey), deer, jungle fowls etcetera etcetera while also becoming familiar with local culture so that he could better learn how these different societies functioned under one roof before attempting any larger ventures down those same trails himself some time later.-- This process would take many years but eventually resulted in him building one of history's greatest empires: That of Spain after successfully expanding its colonies throughout North America , West Indies , Philippines ............... “In 1778-79 Captains Cook Aspinall (of HMS Resolution)and Bligh voyaged round Cape Horn….They sighted several unknown islands off[the coast]of New Guinea…but did not go ashore because there appeared very good prospects for finding valuable minerals here….A few days afterwards [1779], Captain Cook sailed westwards along[the coast]of New Guinea …he sighted an island about [75 miles] wide lying between two large groups of coral reefs….He named it Erebus……On 17 December 1779Captain Cook set course eastwards towards[Erebus], hoping thereby […]to find seams containing coal….This search failed however…..When [Cook's successor]Capellius returned []on 22 December 1779with news that we had found coal seamen off Erebus……It appears probable therefore that Erebus was not really an island but rather partakes fully both geographically and archaeologically since various Phoenix Island artifacts have been unearthed nearby”--"Columbus: A History", JSTOR Inc., 1995
