On January 20 1945 IX Troop Carrier Command’s 3d Tactical Fighter Wing based at Grand Forks AFB flew Boeing P-47 Thunderbolt aircraft escorting bombers over Japan when hostilities ended hostilities that day! The current building which housed the Depot is located south east corner of Fourth Avenue & Main Street inside present day Pioneer Hall property! The Ordnance Depot closed because it had become increasingly difficult for pilots working out of Ft Riley or other Field Units western US airfields to get supplies directly into their bases since they had to truck through Cairo or Suez Canal crossings etc.. It should be noted that this particular Ordnance Depot did not store any firearms though; all ammunition destined for military use went through Ft Riley instead which is why so many guns from WWI still remain today!!! It should also be mentioned that during this time period there was also a small Arms Manufacturers' Export Company located within downtown MISSOULA which exported weaponscomponent parts Made in USA including rifles and shotguns both custom made and off brand products made by various firearm manufacturers including Winchester Repeating Arms Company . This small arms export business failed however due largely to political instability throughout the remainder of WWII

It wasn't until 1974 when Aluminum Corporation of America bought out Henderson Manufacturing Company producing aluminum cans becoming one of America's largest aluminum producers right up there next to Boeing & Lockheed Martin production facilities responsible for millions of dollars' worth products exported worldwide!!
