However, it reopened a few years later as The Optic Shop. This business was known for its high-quality optics products. In the 1940s, The Optical Shop moved from its original location to a new building on Fourth Street. This new building had more space and allowed them to continue selling optic products until they closed in 1967. However, The Optical Shop continued to sell products until it reopened in 1984 as High Noon Optics store. High Noon Optics is still open today and continues to sell quality optics products. One of the most important aspects of any optical shop is their inventory; this is where they purchase all of their materials needed for making their products work correctly. Kalispell is a town in Larimer County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,835 at the 2010 census. Kalispell was founded by John Fetterman in 1875. It was named after Mount Kalispel which overlooks the town. The first post office in Kalispell opened in 1878 and remained open until it closed on July 24, 1912. The first store in town was built by Wm. J. Doherty and operated from a log cabin on the east side of the stream that flows through town center. A second store and creamery were built soon afterwards on Commerce Street between First Avenue and State Street (now First Avenue East). The first school in town was built by Mrs. Cuthbert Keyes on Main Street near present day State University Drive in 1879-80 with 12 students but it closed within one year because of lack of money to maintain it. A new school building was erected at what is now Depot Square just north of Main Street in 1880-81 with 30 students but again it closed within one year because there wasn't enough money to pay for its construction costs plus interest payments each month on an original $4,000 loan from George Hanks, Chairman of the Northern Pacific Railroad which had just been completed through Hayden Valley into Larimer County aquired from Ute Indian Tribe land not far away). A third school building was also erected here but this time by William Beattie who became Superintendent of Schools for Larimer County when he moved to Kalispell from neighboring Golden (then part of Denver) County during muchneeded reform there as well as overspending on school supplies and other countywide expenditures while he served; Beattie's buildings are still standing today across main street from Depot Square park including his gymnasium/hall/auditorium which can seat 300 people inside or outside under arches supported by 4 high posts; these structures remain essentially unchanged since their erection more than 60 years ago! Another earlyKalispellian educator – Miss Alice Bowers – taught music theory and history at nearby Centennial School beginning Teachers College training for women beginning Spring term1887 before going back home to teach her final grade level classes starting Fall term 1888! 2nd Grade: 1889-90; 3rd Grade: 1890-91; 4th Grade: 1892-93; 5th & 6th Grades: 1893-95 Today’s downtown area contains many interesting buildings dating back to those pioneer days such as Mrs Doherty’s Store ( Built 1886 ), Mr Beattie’s Store ( Built 1889 ), Post Office Building(1892), Hotel Roosevelt (1910), Presbyterian Church(1910), Masonic Temple(1920) etc., all originally constructed with logs or stone materials during those pioneer days when most things were done manually like building fences, caring for livestock etc… The square block bounded by Depot Square Park North, First Ave East & South is currently being redeveloped into housing units with retail space scheduled to be available later this decade adjacent to Interstate 25
The Kalispell, Montana post office was established on July 1, 1883. The first postmaster was A.T. Woodruff.
