A new post office called Florence opened at Helena on January 10, 1889 service began at 10am local time with Phebe Murchison as Postmistress until her retirement on September 5th 1902 upon reaching the age of 70 years old having held that position for 54 years On May 21st 1902 it changed its name back again becoming simply "Helena" after previous postmasters Mrs Jno Cook (September 5 1922 –May 21 1932) Mr Geo Sweeny (September 22 1932 –January 10 1936) & Mrs Gertrude Graves (January 11 1936 –April 16 1938).
