The company continued to make high-quality barrels until it ceased operations in 1916. Gun barrel production resumed after World War I due to an increase in demand from hunters and other shooters around the country. With new technology, barrel manufacturers began producing rifled cannons which allowed for greater accuracy and firepower than earlier designs. Gun barrel production slowly decreased during World War II because of rationing policies set by the United States government. However, this changed after 1945 when America started importing large quantities of rifles and shotguns from Europe based on their need for these weapons during World War II

Butte Silver Bow is a small town in Butte County, Montana, United States. The population was 2,671 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Helena–Billings metropolitan area. Butte Silver Bow was founded by silver miners in 1885. The first post office was established here in 1886. The name Butte came from nearby hills that were brightly polished to give a metallic sheen. In 1899, the local silver mine closed and many of the men who worked there lost their jobs; they moved to other towns in Montana and Texas but not until after World War I did they establish themselves permanently in Butte Silver Bow as a mining community with its own school, churches and businesses. The Mineowners’ Strike of 1919 ended the strikebreakers’ occupation of mines near ButteSilverBow while also providing an opportunity for local farmers to purchase land adjacent to the mine sites which had been abandoned by the operators during the strike years. Construction on what would become known as "the Main Street" began soon after the end of World War I and continued until 1928 when it was replaced by Interstate 80 through downtown ButteSilverBow; this main street today still contains most of what remains from those early days including: a bank (1896), post office (1901), mercantile store (1906), grade school (1898) and two churches (1903). A new hospital opened in 1952 along with several smaller businesses including one restaurant which has since closed down; however, one building on Main Street still houses historical records for both that business and Forrester County government all originating from this locality prior to its closure. In recent years, much effort has been made towards revitalization efforts within Butte Silver Bow with various events being held such as art shows, antique shows, food festivals and more recently music concerts/fairs throughout year round as well as charitable giving opportunities both through grants-in-aid programs administered by county entities such as Forrester County School District #1 or special projects administered by non-profit organizations like Habitat for Humanity or church groups like Emmanuel Lutheran Church erected housing specifically for low income families living below poverty lines within sight or sound of any major city block amenity residents could access whether walking or biking distance!

Butte Silver Bow is located on the north side of the Missoula River, about 25 miles (40 km) east of Missoula. The population of Butte Silver Bow was 6,822 as of 2010. The first post office in Butte Silver Bow was established in 1881, and became active until 1924. From 1880 to 1886, ButteSilverBow also served as a station on the Northern Pacific Railway. In 1901, fire destroyed much of downtown ButteSilverBow but not itssilver mine buildings; however, many other shops and residences were damaged or destroyed during that year's destructive firestorm. In 1907/08 (the mining season), gold was discovered at Gold Rush Gulch near present-day Highway 89A south of town. Mining operations continued throughout 1908; however production ceased due to budget cuts caused by world wars I and II. A new gold mine opened at nearby Higgins Hill in 1912; however production ceased again because of World War I stress testing procedures. The last silver mine operational at Butte Silver Bow closed down in 1957 although some tailings still remain today as part of a state park hike area known as Coppermine Gulch State Park
Butte Silver Bow was founded by Mary and David Butte in 1875. The town became a mining community during the late 1800s, and silver mining remains an important economic factor in the town today. In 1907, Butte Silver Bow was named one of the twenty-six towns in Montana to be designated as a National Historic Landmark.
