It served as the town's court house until 1901 when it was replaced by a new courthouse built adjacent to First Baptist Church on Main Street which still serves as that town's primary government building today! In addition to its legal functions - both before and after incorporation into Municipal District No 4 - Court House Square saw many local events throughout its history including parades honoring local luminaries like Judge George Washington Carver or General Ulysses S Grant; village meetings attended by dignitaries like Mayor Augustus Kelley; banquets given by prominent citizens; staged public protests against various injustices; horse fairs; agricultural shows/festivals etc.; all of which brought people together for Discussionville type fun!
