Webb City, Missouri is located in the Ozarks of south-central Kansas. The city was founded in 1871 by Joel and Esther Webb. The Webers had two daughters, Alma and Ruth, and one son, Amos. In 1875, the family moved to a farm on the edge of town. They began to purchase land for their community, which they named after themselves: Webb City. In 1902, Amos Webb gave up his ownership interest in Webb City to become an employee of the local bank. He continued to live there until his death in 1951. Alma Webb continued to live there until her death in 1984. After Alma's death, her four children—Doris (1947-2008), David (1951-2005), Kathy (1991-2013), and John (born 1950)—took over management of Webb City through their nonprofit organization called "A Better Place". The first gun protection measure that was passed by the city council in Webb City was an ordinance prohibiting carrying firearms without a permit. This ordinance was repealed in 1954 because it did not meet with enough opposition from residents who felt that it infringed on their Second Amendment rights. The next step for Webb City would be passage of a ordinance requiring citizens to obtain permits before purchasing any firearm whatsoever within the city limits. This ordinance passed unanimously on July 14th, 1957; however, it never went into effect due to objections from hunters who felt that it would have created too much difficulty for them to acquire hunting licenses outside of town. Later ordinances were designed specifically towards preventing crime: In 1966 an ordinance required all businesses within city limits to keep records documenting each customer's appearance and activities; this law became known as "the Moratorium Law". In 1978 another ordinance became effective which prohibited anyone under 21 years old from possessing any weapons or ammunition without a parent or guardian’s permission; this law is also known as "the Juvenile Weapons Law". These ordinances were ultimately repealed due to lack of enforcement or political correctness concerns among some residents who felt that these measures violated their First Amendment rights . In 1993 an amendment was made unto the Iowa Constitution which granted municipalities such power over firearms as well as other types of municipal powers previously held by counties . Thus starting off with state legislation we move onto federal legislation... finally! On November 5th 1994 at 10am three AR15 rifles enter our small town Of Webbcity Mo., open carry has been allowed since then! All 3 shooters brought permits so no one gets hurt

In 1911, Webb City passed an ordinance that banned handguns from service within city limits. Webb City is located on the edge of the Ozarks and has a humid subtropical climate (Köppen: Cfa). The first people to live in Webb City were farmers who came from Illinois in 1836. The town was named for David Webb, a member of the St. Louis County Board of Aldermen in 1858 and 1860. In 1870, Webb City had a population of 350 people and an Agricultural Society with twenty members which marketed goods to farmers outside the town limits. by 1880 there were 100 residents living in Webb City and it had become an agricultural center with 3 general stores, one blacksmith shop, three harness shops and six farm buildings including a log cabin used as a school house from 1881 to 1886 when it was moved to its current location near Main Street. By 1900 there were only 10 residents remaining in Webb City with two churches (one Methodist) and one grocery store left open along with two businesses closed down due to lack of customers or competition from larger towns nearby such as Rolla or Independence where populations had increased tenfold since 1840 according to US Census data. In 1907, local banks formed the National Cotton Exchange Company which began marketing cotton products through mail order starting up shop in 1908 In 1912 they merged into Peabody National Bank while continuing mail order sales until 1971 when all operations were discontinued effective October 1st In 1915 Drury Jameson opened his first pharmacy providing cold medicine and other supplies for local farmers The post office continued serving Farmersville until 1951 when it converted into an annex for both Rolla Municipal Court Services Center on Main Street while also becoming Weber's first library taking over what had been functioned as Hall Library before that date . On November 30th 1975 fire destroyed all but one building on Main Street leaving four single story frame buildings standing including once again our community hall which served as our new community center until 1978 when it burned down after being vacant for fifteen years

Webb City is a small town in southwestern Missouri, United States. The population was 914 at the 2010 census. It is part of the St. Louis metropolitan area and is located about 25 miles (40 km) east of downtown St. Louis on I-55. The first post office in Webb City was established on July 1, 1854, and it was moved to its present location in 1865. The name "Webb" comes from Robert Webb, who bought land near the town in 1851. The first settler in Webb City was James Hargrave, who arrived with his family in 1856. Englishman John Barnes also settled here around this time and built a home called "Barnes' Bluff." In 1860, Edwin Coyle started a farm west of Webb City and named it Coyle's Bluff after himself and his father-in-law John Hargrave had originated the idea for that name back at their home on Grambling Road just north of Webster County line on April 12th of that year. By 1870 there were over twenty settlers living in Webb City according to one account; however by 1880 only six families remained - three due toSoldiers during the American Civil War including two brothers killed while fighting for General Ulysses S Grant as part of Company K2nd Illinois Cavalry Battalion No 431st Regiment Missouri Volunteer Infantry nicknamed “The Ghost Riders” In 1868 when George Washington Cable laid out a townsite named Eagleville within what is now known as Webster Township he abandoned plans for an alluvial plain between Eagleville Creek and Rolla River because he felt that an open plain would be less conducive to growth than depressed ridges or hillsides covered with woody vegetation which would provide cover from surveyors surveying his property for possible farming purposes should he succeed in developing it into a township or village site according to current zoning laws then existing at that time
Webb City was founded in 1838 by John Webb and his wife, Sarah. The city was named for the Webers' hometown of Webbstown, Pennsylvania. In 1863, the Union Army burned down the city during the Battle of Pea Ridge. During World War II, Webb City served as a munitions plant.
