In 1916, the city fathers decided that it was time to erect an actual shooting range in order to improve public safety. With this new idea, residents and tourists alike could come and enjoy shooting at real live guns while also learning about American history and weaponry. Unfortunately, due to World War II restrictions on firearms ownership, the range only operated intermittently until 1961 when it reopened under the name of the United States Army Marksmanship School. From then on, it became a popular venue for birthday parties and other eventside activities. Today, there are still some regular participants in target shooting competitions held at the range but overall membership has dwindled over time due to budget constraints; however, there are always offers of membership open to anyone who is interested in participating!

Troy, MO is a city located in the east-central part of the state of Missouri. The population was 13,834 at the 2010 census and it is the county seat for Washington County. Troy was named after General George A. Troy, who fought in the American Civil War and became a U.S. Senator from Missouri. The area that would become Troy was first settled by Native Americans in what is now eastern Oregon County. The first European to visit what is now Troy was French explorer Pierre Topon on his way tozinco (now Mapleton) in 1763. On July 18, 1812, General James Kents wagon train passed through this area when he returned from his ill-fated expedition against forces under Napoleon Bonaparte at the Battle of Monterey. Upon learning of Kents' journey and route, topographer Nicholas Vail created an original map of western Missouri including what is now Troy on February 11, 1813 while working for John Jacob Astor's Fur Company as a scout for its new line of trade across the Mississippi River into Illinois Territory via theseaddle lands west of St Louis (the so-called Rock Ford Land). The town started as a small cluster of log cabins near Interstate 70 and Union Pacific Railroad tracks where travelers could change trains or wait out storms before continuing their journey northward along I-70 to St Louis or southward along US 65 past Poplar Bluff to Cairo before continuing their journey northward on I-70 to St Louis again before finally reaching their destination. One early resident described life in those days: "We had no dispensaries or hospitals; we were all simple people... We got our medicines and vegetables from Indian traders." On December 1,1847, with voters approving $200 per capita tax rates for Clark County (which included most present day downtowns such as downtown St Joseph), Curtin submitted legislation authorizing $500 per capita Levy Tax Rates within Washington County which included much more land than today's Town Square Business District boundaries – amounting to about 53 square miles including modern day downtowns like Downtown Saint Joseph – yet only 3 percent ($50) went towards levy funds towards public services like schools etc., instead going straight into Curtin's personal coffers which he used mostly for his own benefit such as expanding his farmlands and building himself a luxurious home near Saints Mary's Catholic Church/Churchyard until her death in 1862 after which many other rich landowners followed suit throughout much of central Missouri during this time period often using similar tactics resulting in intensifying poverty throughout much rural America during this time period known variously as "Curtinism" or "Progressive Capitalism". In 1870–71 when white farmers began moving into central Missouri following Reconstruction following the Ulysses S Grant victory over Confederate general Robert E Lee at Appomattox Court House – primarily due to cheap land available there relative to surrounding states – much smaller towns such as Troy quickly lost population due largely to competition from larger cities like Kansas City and Springfield becoming increasingly industrialized while developing extensive infrastructure developments such as streetcar lines connecting them directly with larger cities making it possible for these newer cities to compete fairly with each other rather than just serving isolated villages/towns which often became socioeconomically obsolete without large scale industrial development either accompanying it akin currently happenings within most major urban areas across much rural America today although some exceptions exist notably Wichita KS having experienced significant growth since 2000relative newcomers Buffalo NY also experiencing substantial recent commercial development recently associated with its rapidly growing metropolitan area located adjacent thereto albeit generally outside traditional city limits since then particular suburban areas adjacent thereto incorporating heavy industrial employment within suburban neighborhoods respective unto thereto general residential densities among various urban agglomerations therein quite variously termed "inner suburbia" or "outer suburbs" although typically inner suburban areas contain more professional jobs than outer suburban ones do however increasingly many professional jobs are located within large metropolises rather than inside traditional city limits somewhat typical thereof interior suburbs generally contain far more affordable housing prices relative thereto outer suburbs more expensive housing valuesalthough overall Inner Suburbs Generally Satisfied More With Life Than Outer Suburbs
