When Town And Country first sprung up on the side of a small Missouri hill in the early 1860s, it had only a few residents. Today, the town has a population of over 10,000 people and is one of the largest in the state. The town was founded by James A. Pettit, who homesteaded land in what is now Town And Country. Pettit named his new community after himself and his wife, Sarah Blevins Pettit (1807-1875). The first store in Town And Country was built on Main Street in 1865. By 1876, there were nine stores and two hotels in Town AndCountry. The first post office was established in 1875. The town’s first school was built in 1876 and still stands today on Center Street. In 1902, a new courthouse was erected on Main Street and served as the town’s main courthouse for many years. Today,Town And Country is home to many interesting businesses and museums such as the Pettitt Museum of American History which specializes in local history from before its inception through modern times; The Pettitt County Historical Society which preserves artifacts from throughout Pettitt County; The Pioneer Village Museum which features exhibits about life during various eras within the village including pioneer settler days; and The Steffen Museum of Art which displays art from around Missouri including traditional woodcarving techniques used by Steffen family members dating back to 1840 (the oldest known family member to live permanently within present day Town AndCountry).

The town and country of Town And Country, Missouri was founded in 1836 by James K. Polk and his family. The town is located in the Ozarks region of Missouri. The population of Town And Country was 12,562 at the 2010 census.
Town And Country is a small town in Clay County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,895 at the 2010 census. It lies at the junction of US Route 59 and MO 28. The first settler in Town And Country was James A. Brown who arrived in 1838. He built a cabin on the east side of U.S. Route 58 which he named "Brown's Cabin." In 1852, John Fenton purchased the land from Brown and founded Fentonville on it. In 1865, Jens Jensen bought property north of town from Fentonville settlers and established Jensen City on it. In 1868, George Wertheimer settled near town center and called his community "Wertheimer's Village". After Wertheimer died in 1872, his ranch passed to his son Julius Wertheimer Jr., who moved the village to its present location and renamed it Town And Country after himself in 1880. The first post office for Town AndCountry was established in 1879; it changed its name to Greenfield in 1907. The first store opened here on December 15th, 1890 by Jens Jensen Sr.. The village gradually grew with businesses opening up until 1924 when most of what is now downtown were developed as part of an attempt to bring more people into town for shopping during the Great Depression; this failed because there was no grocery or other major business available then that could provide enough jobs for everyone living there full time! On January 1st, 1957 the entire downtown area including all but one building (the old bank) were destroyed by tornado damage! Tornado Damage Reconstruction began immediately with help from local farmers who raised vegetable gardens outside of their homes while they waited for structures to be rebuilt; within 2 months all non-structural buildings had been repaired or replaced! In 1969 General Electric moved its research lab from St Louis totown & country after World War II when GE decided that Missouri would become a key jurisdiction for operations following decolonization across central America – St Louis remained our primary research center until 1986 when GE relocated again (this time to Mexico City) leaving us stateside once again!! Today you can find many GE brands such as Coleman#CigaretteLabs(formerly Phillip Morris),GEICO(formerly American National Insurance Company),Duracell batteries etc.,all thanks to those hard working reconstruction efforts !!

The first settlers in Town And Country were Levi Sprinkle and his family who arrived in 1819 from Ohio. John Sprinkle and his wife Anna moved there in 1824 from Illinois. They started a store which still stands today—the Sprinkle Store on West Main Street. A post office was established at Town And Country in 1830, and it remained open until 1907 when it was replaced by the current one on North Main Street. The first school in Town AndCountry was built on what is now the north side of River Road just east of present day Keystone Shopping Center (then known as The Colony). It operated for two years before being shut down due to lack of funds. In 1832, the cornerstone for First Baptist Church was laid and it served as their church until 1955 when it burned down. The second school building—a log cabin—was erected about 1840 by Alexander Ransom and stored here until 1861 when it became the home of Drury’s Drug Store before moving to its present location next to Gateway Mall . In 1855, Isaac Hickey opened a general store near where he had built his home several years earlier and soon began trading goods with neighboring towns such as Topeka and Independence (now Overland Park). His store became an important factor in developing the town because it provided food for residents during times of famine or drought that struck other areas aroundKansas City。 With increased trade came more people; by 1860 there were 10 full-time residents living in Town AndCountry compared to only 2 people living elsewhere within Clay County! 1) By 1870 there were 150 full-time residents living within Clay County proper while only 30 people lived outside of its borders2) By 1910 there were over 1,000 full-time residents living within Clay County proper while only 100 people lived outside its borders3) Today's population totals over 2,000 individuals
