In 1903, Emmette's Magazine became a gun magazine when it merged with George Epps' company and publication ceased after only one year with Emmette having printed just 17 issues during that time period- including two issues without any ads or content! In 1909, Spence's Rifle Store began publishing an annual journal called the "Spence's Rifle Review". It is still being published today and features reviews of rifles products from across North America! It is interesting to note that both Hamer & Purdy (prizefighters) started their own magazines back in 1881 before merging with Emmette's company some time later!
